56 year old James Robertson walks 21 miles and rides a bus for 2 miles a day to and from the factory he works at. James' car broke down about a decade ago, and he can't afford to buy a new one. People have set up online fundraising to help James buy a new car, the goal was to get 5,000 dollars to buy him a new car. As of today over 125,000 dollars have been raised for the cause. Opinions? Could you ever live like this? What would it take to make you commit to work as much as James?

Well done!
I would not be able to walk that much in one day. I think its cool that people are supportive of his need for money to buy a car for himself. Depending on how much I love the job would determine my commitment.
I don't think i could ever walk that far for a job. He must really like his job and if he worked all this 10 years and couldn't afford a car? maybe his job is not worth all the walking.
I don't think it's that he likes his job, I think it's expensive to live in Detroit and he's just getting by how he can.
Well I would do it if I had to if I had kids and needed money to feed them. This is a very big commute though and it would be hard to walk that much every day.
Yes I agree. It shows dedication on his part.
He must have to be really determined and be proud to have his job. I probably couldn't walk more than 5 miles a day at most if I had to get to work by all means necessary.
I don't even think I could walk 5 miles everyday, I would break down and buy a bike.
It has been 10 years why can't he save up like 500 dollars to get a car. I would do what he is doing if I was getting payed a good amount.
I guess the prices of living in detroit are high. I would assume all his money is going to his house and food.
