Deportation is not fair!

Lot's of people agree with the fact about deportation. This issue has been happening for so long yet no one has done right thing yet, people think that immigrants are bad people that they will do damage to the United States. That's were peopel are wrong and they should rethink and look back in time and remeber who was here and who worked in all those factorys and buaild all those places those people where immigrants.

Deportaion has been occuring sense 1794 in Massachusetts and now the United States has been doing that with all the immigrates. It's not fair that all those familys have to leave behind their familys and go back to there country or that they have to go to a camp and not see there familys or that in that camp that they are in they hit them they hurt woman in there to. Lot's of people say that no one is perfect and that is true but when people say that they look at immigrants and they they that we are monsters or that we are not from this planet. For people they think its fine that thats what immigrants deserve let me ask you something is it fair that immigrants don't get to see there familys or that the get put in some camp and hit them no people that are not immigrants don't understand how hard that is ou know why becuase they get to see there family or come back to them always not immigrants they never get to see there famillys ever again.

In my why of thinking i think that deportation should  stop because, its not fair that immigrants have to work so hard to bring food and have insurence and then get deported thats not fair. Poeple forget who works in the factorys, construction, were lots of people don't work at all those place are filled with immigrants and gusee who puts food out to all the stores and fast food place that right factorys but gusee who works there immigrants. Deportation is not fair because its alful that they have to leave everthing behind and not come back thats terrible to think about and lots of people direcpect immigrants for that but why say that when they don't know how hard it is to know that any day you could get deported now that is just dissapointing.

  • Andy,

I think your topic is a very good choice and your summary is good. Illegal immigration is a heated topic in the United States and one that has two very opposing viewpoints which you see in the comments. Anyway, there are some typos so be sure to type your summary in Word or Google Docs first next time to help with spelling and grammer.

The big issue is that you didn't reply to any student comments which is worth 30 points.

  • I do not think deportation should be stopped completely. However, I think that as a country that started out as immigrants moving onto and stealong land from natives, we should do a better job at helping people and their families move to America. There are people so desperate to get to America that they risk going to prison. There should be measures taken to help those desperate folks to support their voyages to absolute freedom.

  • I don't think deportation should stop for the illegal immigarants, because they decided not to wait so they could become legal instead they came here ilegally and don't contribute by paying taxes like the rest of us so therefore I think they should get deported. For the legal immigrants they should not be deported, because they decided to wait and now they contribute by paying taxes because they are actual Americans.

  • Deportation should not stop for illegal immigrants. Although they may work hard for their family and in the U.S., if they don't pay taxes they''re still not doing their part. With that being said, we should make our rules and regulations for people becoming U.S. citizens way easier. Why is it that somone has to be an immaculent person in almost every aspect to get in? Just do a hard-core background check and make sure they know some of what they need, but make sure they have the materials necessay to do so and that it's not anything super difficult and even unessential they're expected to know.

  • Deportation should stop for the legal immigrants who go through the process all the way. The illegal ones should be deportated and forced to go through the legal process. It isn't fair f rthe legal immigrants. I doubt it will disappear because everyone has different beliefs and ideas.

  • I do not think that deportation is unfair and I do not think that it should stop. The people who know that they are illegally coming into this country should have to face the consequences because of the actions they chose to make. But the people who came into the U.S. legally who went through the whole process should not suffer the consequences. But, our immigration procedures should be easier for people to enter the U.S. legally and then immigration may go down.

  • I don't that deportation should stop and I don't think that it is unfair. People who knowingly enter the country illegally should have to face the consequences of those actions. Illegal immigrants are costly to tax paying citizens who have gone through the legal process of being here. However, I do think that our immigration procedures need to be easier for people to enter legally.

  • I do not think that deportation should stop and I do not think that it is unfair. Illegal immigrants have done nothing good for our country and are in no way beneficial. They drain our economy by not paying taxes, they drive up our population, which in turn drives up food prices, and they often put their own children in dangerous situations by trying to heartlessly leverage them as a way to get into the United States. The reason that families are seperated is because they intentionally use a loophole in the law which states that if a child is born in America they are an American citizen. I do not think that anyone who would use thier child in such a way should be allowed to stay in the united states. It's not about hating immigrants. It's about protecting our nation by demanding that they enter using legal methods and demanding that they do their part as US citizens instead of freeloading off the government and refusing to be a useful member of society. While legal immigrants have done much for us, and have been a key factor in the US's history, Illegal immigrants have done nothing but harm.

    • "Illegal immigrants" are an integral part of our economy, and without them, us lazy americans wouldn't have a lot of the commodities we so greatly take for granted. Human beings wanting a better life for their children should not be split up and put in concentration camps. I disagree with your line of thinking. atrocious.

  • I can see this both ways. It is awful how immigrants are treated and being ripped away from their families and friends is not fair. On the other hand, I think that entering the United States illegally and being allowed to stay is also unfair to the people who are becoming legal immigrants. I agree that immigrants are not bad and they have done a lot of great for our country.
