People in Austion, Texas are put on edge after three packages explode. Early Monday morning a package exploded outside of a house killing a 17 year old African-American Male and injuring a women in the blast. Later that day another package exploded right after it was picked up and a 75 year old hispanic woman was severely injured. Early this month on March 2 was the first on these three explosive packages, which killed Anthony Stephan House, a 39-year-old African-American man. I think that it was only because the people who were killed all seemed to be non-white. If I was a person living in Austin and found a suspicious package I would call the police and get far away from it just in case.
I think it is very possible. I also think it could be gangs or evil people just playing pranks. This is because of the races that were targeted. If I found a suspicious package, I would probably call the police and not get anywhere near it.
I honestly don't think this could be a hate crime. We don't know for sure but who knows. I would probably call emergency services.
While most signs are pointing to that, we can't be 100% sure yet, and it's best not to make assumptions, but unfortunately it likely is a hate crime.
If i hadn't ordered anything, and recieved a random package i really just wouldn't mess with it, and depending on the situation maybe alert local law enforcement, etc.
1.) I assume it is because usually, package bombings aren't random. Of course, there are several other reasons for why those people were victimes of the bombings, but since we know that all of them have the same race, this might be the reason.
2.) If I would npt have ordered anything what I would be waiting on and especially after hearing from those two or three bombings before, I would probably not have opened it.
I think that it could be possible that this attacks are made by people who hate differents races but it could also been a coincidence so we should just wait and heard what the cops said. But if this actually is a hate crime the police in Texas have to solve this quickly because this could extend a kill more people with more bombs.
Yes I do because people do not put bombs on peoples doorsteps for no reasons at all they have to be mad or want revenge from something that happened. If it was something that I knew I ordered then I might be careful about it.
I recently heard that there were bombs in Mexico on ferries which is weird considering I"m now reading this. I don't know if its a hate crime or not; it would need to be looked into more. Who knows what there motive was?
I think that the possibility of these acts being a hate crime shouldn't be out of the picture, but I don't think we should be making any assumptions. If I found a supsicious package on my doorstep I would be sure not to open it or touch it or let anyone else near it. I know that local law enforcement is encouragin anyone who has supsicion relating to a package can call 911, so I would probably do so.
