SOmting went wrong with the jeep and the teenager got crushed by the trailer over 20 where injured Authorities have impounded the Jeep and are investigating what caused the crash.

The driver should not be punished. It probably was either the road or the jeep that was faulty and the only thing that he could be charged for is manslaughter.
Probably arrest him, then question him, and put him in jail or release him.
If its something defective with the car then i don't feel that the driver should be punished.

You can't blame the driver mechanical failure. It sounds like this was an accident.
