At least 45 people died in a bus fire in Bulgaria. The bus was carrying 52 people including 12 children. The vehicle was making a return from a weekend trip to Istanbul. The vehicle swerved through the guardrail near a village in western Bulgaria. The bus crashed at 2 a.m local time. Some people jumped through the windows to escape the fire. The victims included the driver and several children.
The Bulgarian minister stated “the picture is horrifying.” The seven survivors had burns and lacerations all over their body. They have been taken to a hospital in Sofia. The Seven that have made it are in good condition. The injured will be transferred to Skopje.
This situation is horrible. It is even more saddening because the majority of deaths were children. One of the survivors stated that they were sleeping when they heard a loud explosion. One of them broke a window which enabled some people to get out. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Bulgaria has the second highest rate of traffic deaths. They had a similar occurrence happen in 2018.

I think that the bus crash was probably an accident so they don't really need to change their traffic system. They could maybe make their speed limits a little slower if they have many crashes, but if they crashed because of an explosion that wasn't really the road's fault. Unless the driver crashed into someone else which caused the explosion I don't think that the crash was his fault. You can't really control explosions.
This bus incident could have been because of multiple cases, maybe the roads where slick, or the bus had a faulty engine, or someone sabatage the bus. I dont know a way that the system could be safe. Also this incident was not the drivers fault, he might not have known that happend himself and swerving is a resonable reaction.
I think it was an accident, but it could've easily been on purpose. I'mnot sure how they could fix there system, but they need to make it safer. That was a lot of innicent lives taken for no reason.
I think it was just an accident because I don't think that a person wants to crash. Eitherways the drivers should pay more attension. Bulgaria could fix their traffic safety but i don't think it is really necessary. Accidents happen al the time and everywhere.

I think it is actually an accident unfortunately, but i think both driver could be a lot careful and pay attention. But also Bulgaria could improve a barricades that might stop the vehicles from possibly collapsing. I think this situation is really unfortunate but accidents don't always happen.
I think that Bulgaria could help improve guardrails and barriers on their roadways to make them stronger so that these types of accidents don't happen as often. I don't know who is more at fault here, either the bus driver or the roadway system in Bulgaria.
