Sunday, March 9, 2 a.m Daylight Savings time officially starts. Don't forget to set your clock ahead 1 hour. Daylight Savings Time was originally created to to reduce evening use of incandescent lighting.
This time change is not observed in Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
We lose an hour of sleep, but gain an extra hour of evening light. I personally would prefer the sleep. What do you guys think? Would you ditch this event if you could.

I would never prefer the sleep I am a morning person and want as much beautiful sunlight as i can get sleep is just a must if i didn't have to i wouldn't ever sleep you would get a lot more done this way and i do agree that it is essential to a healthy lifestyle to get your sleep but once you have the proper amount i hate wasting time sleeping in i always want to be doing something productive
I like this event. I like that it is later at night and the one day of less sleep really doesn't affect me.
Work on your questions.
I'm fine with the change. I just had to get use to the change.
i would rather have the sleep and i will ditch it
I've been dead tired since Sunday, but the sunlight is nice to have later in the day. I guess we just have to get used to it and move on, for now....
I like the time change because then it is darker later. Why doesn't Hawaii have it?
It's nice to have the extra hour of sun, and it seems like time goes faster too...
I like how it stays lighter out at night especially during summer and since we only lose sleep for one night I think I am okay with it.
I love evening light!! However, I hate losing sleep! Most teens barely get enough as it is. But I love summer and we adjust eventually. I love summer and sunshine so I think I'd stick with the light!
