This dad decided to take unconvetional action on his daughter for having a 500$ phone bill. What did this dad do well what he did was he put post-it notes on thing like boots and clothing with a number of how many chores she has to do to get them back. he gave her 3 outfits from Walmart he picked out he gave her the basic necessities to live. do you think this it to hard on the kid or the right way to do it why or why not.

Locking your kid in a closet is a little extreme for a phone bill. I believe that the "earning your stuff back" is a fair and honest way to discipline your child.
I think locking a kid in the closet is going overboard, but earning your stuff back isn't a bad way to teach a kid a lesson.
I don't think he shouldn't have locked her in a closet but chores are probably a good way of making up for a 500 phone bill wow.. I guess that's one way for a life lesson.
I think that she may be on her phone for a little to much, but there is no reason to lock your own daughter in the closet because of her actions.
That's a mighty phone bill!! I do think he might have gone a little over board but she shouldn't have disrespected the the privilege of having a phone. He could have had her do some of the chores to get her stuff back but only three outfits and very few basic necessities is a little extreme.
Her dad took this way too far. She could work to pay him back, not lock her in a closet. A $500 is a lot, but he could have found another way for her to make that up.
I think he went to far with this and maybe have her work but not that way and maybe just let her live life and maybe cut down her phone bill or give her minutes.
I personally think taking away her phone away and also taking away her nicest clothes. But only having 3 outfits that to little.
Think that the dad is doing the right thing and teaching her a lesson.
