NBA star Derek Rose is out again for the rest of the season. The star, who tore his acl last year, just tore his meniscus. This will require surgery and put him out for the rest of the year. He was criticized last year for how long he took to rehab the acl. Because of the speed and success that Adrian Peterson recovered from his acl injury Rose took a lot of heat. What do you guys think athletes should do with these injuries? Are they asking to much from their bodies? http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=10029584&categoryid=5595394

Good job once again!
It isn't really someone's choice when they return, I learned this when I was in the hospital and I missed 2 days of school. Honestly, I could've just missed the first and been fine, but the doctors didn't want to risk it. Also, some people can recover faster than others.
When the players get hurt they need to let them selves get all better before playing again, that way they have a less chance of hurting them selves again. When players have to sit out for the year and then again they don't come back as good.
I think everyone heals at their own speed but you can heal faster if you work more and harder at getting better with some injuries. I think it depends on the person.
That's true. Some injuries you can work to make better and I'm sure he will.
I think fans and critics are asking too much... if he wants to take longer because that will help him heal, they need to allow it not criticize it
Oh yeah. They want these athletes just too be able to perform at their bests at all times. No matter what their injury is.
I think that they are rushing themselves with their recoveries. Some injures can ruin your career if they do not have enough time to heal. I think that when the media pressures you about an injury that they can also cause athletes to get back in the game early.
Good point. I think the media does put to much pressure on athletes to come back soon from injuries.
I'm glad I'm not him, I just hope he recovers fully and can play basketball without another knee injury
