I am requesting feedback on both what you have liked and disliked about my class so far this semester. Most importantly, please let me know what I could to make this class better as well as helping you achieve a higher level of performance. I will only keep comments that truly give me good feedback. Thanks! Mr. Bruns PS. I have implemented many ideas that students have thrown out there over the years so give some thought to what you write.

I personally don't like the daily reflective blogs. But I like the one assigned blog (I wish it was a free choice blog though, maybe you should have like an extra credit day or something that anybody can choose if they want to do free choice blogs for extra credit) and at first i didn't like this class but i warmed up to it.
I am so happy that we only have one big blog per week. I don't think I would have made it if we still had the free choice blog every week. I would suggest breaking Europe into smaller sections for the map test. Other than that I don't see any problems.
Well i thought the oral test would be harder then what they really are. i kinda like the oral test for this class, even though sometimes you can talk your way around a answer. I don't like the map test in oral though it puts you on the spot. I would like these to all be written. Other then that i think blogging is just busy work.
Blogging is busy work if you don't do it the right way. If you do it the right way, which is expand on what you learned, research says you will do better and actually learn something. Believe me, I hate bust work and have dedicated my teaching to not do busy work.
Take a look at the students that do do very well in my class. All of them do very well on their daily blogs. All of them. Is that a coincidence? I don't think so.
Okay, here we go.
1. Your class is always freezing, start complaining (:
2. I don't think its fair that if someone is gone for debates and such things that they don't get as many days to get "marks". How do we make that up?
3. I think we should work on map tests more in class. Like, devote a day or so to the map. Not just going over it briefly a few times.
4. Yeah, you gotta improve on that little glare you get with Oral tests.
5. Moree music before class, you have to agree that the day you played Party In the USA, EVERYONE was in a better mood.
I think this is all.
2. Isn't it kind of late to bring this up? I do have email and there is always after class in which to ask about this. COMMUNICATE. It's your grade, not mine.
3. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. I gave you more than enough time to know Europe. You have had 5 straight work days!!
4. Not sure on the glare. I'll have to see that on tape.
5. Yes, I need more music. The three minutes has really hurt that for me.
i think its ok now that we only have to do one blog but it is tough to study for these oral test because our daily blogs arent always comepletely resourceful. then you have to listen to the podcasts which i guess is ok but i think it would by nice if we didnt just have to make sure we typed everything you said that day down. maybe you could put some more notes up some days for us to type down and make sure we get all the information. its hard to keep up with the other kids powerpoints sometimes to because everythings vocal and your not always sure if you get everything down.
