A video has been made public by a few people in Omaha, Nebraska. This video shows a toddler cursing. The toddler is being egged on by a family friend. The mother of the toddler, a 16 year old, tries to defend this video. She says that she was unaware of what was going on. The mother also defends that her son never does that and she is a great mother and their house is always clean. I find this very odd. She seems more concerned about herself than her son's vulgar language. If my child said words that were inappropriate, I would never allow it. How would you react if you had a child doing this?

Good topic and great job replying!
I think its crazy that this video is getting this much attention. It's not really a big deal in my opinion just because that kid didnt know that what he/she was doing was wrong. If it was my child I wouldn't have egged it on or even made a video, but it's not like people dont laugh when little kids curse.
The police took the kid away from the mom and hopefully they can keep him out of a gang.
if my kid did this i would find a very fit punishment! haha but also sit the kid down and tell them that it isn't right to say things like that. i think i would be more mad at the family member than the kid for egging him on tho
The whole family should be ashamed. I'm scared for what will happen to that little boy when he grows up, he already got shot at when he was three. It was right for them to take him into custody. All parents shouldn't allow this kind of behavior.
If my child was doing this I would be so upset! Then again, my friends wouldn't egg on a toddler who is cussing. That's terrible. I don't think the mom had anything to do with it, but her friends did so it basically links back to the mom. I'd be so upset if my friends were doing this.
first off I think it is stupid that a 16 year old mother gets any publicity at all that just makes them think what they did was cool or something. but when it comes right down to it no girl is ready for a child at 16, but i do know that this happens to lots of kids and I think that they should try to do the best they can for the child and from what it sounds like to me this mother was obviously not doing a very good job. I would not allow my child to have videos put on the internet of something like that at such a young age why would you even put videos of you baby on YouTube.
The friends of the mom put the video online apparently without her knowing. I agree that the mother shouldn't get publicity for this negative event.
i would never allow my child to cuss like this! I wouldn't want my friends to say bad things around my child either. It is sad to see little kids cuss like this. I hope this kid has some good role models in the future that make sure he knows using bad language isn't good.
I hope so too. If he learns bad language is "all right" at such a young age, will he be thinking when he is older?
