There has been lots of talk about the covid vaccine coming out and people debating on whether to get vaccinated or not. Personally, I am leaning more towards getting vaccinated because I feel that the benefit outweighs the risks. Pfizer and BioNTEK released information about their studies that state the vaccine is 95% effective against Covid after 28 days (two doses). While long term side effects are unknown, but hopefully non existent, I still feel that getting vaccinated is in my best interest.
I read that Pfizer and BioNTEK tested 43,000 people, all of different age, gender, race, and ethnicity, and all of them tolerated the vaccine well with no serious concerns. There were 2% of people that reported they had headaches and only 3.8% of people reported that they had low energy and fatigue. Knowing this information is what leads me to believe that everyone should take the vaccine.
Although most of us are still young and healthy and would most likely make a full recovery, being carriers of the virus and passing it on to others who might not be as healthy as us is a main reason why I would like to take the vaccine. For example my family and I were unable to get together for Thanksgiving this year because my 37 year old uncle has hodgkin’s lymphoma and my grandma is in remission from lung cancer. Like I said earlier, I would have no problem taking the risks that the vaccine includes if it means we would be able to get together as a family again.
1) If you had the chance, would you get vaccinated? Why or why not?
I would get the vaccine if I had the chance because the side effects don't seem too severe and it would be the beginning of going back to a normal life.
2) What are your biggest concerns with the vaccine?
Although my concerns aren't going to stop me from getting vaccinated, I am concerned about the long term effects because the vaccine has only been around for short term.

I would not get the vaccine. I think covid is a lot like the flu and I don't get the flu shot and I hardly get the flu so I wouldn't get the covid vaccine. If I did get the vaccine I would be concerned on how long it would protect you from getting covid.
Im not sure whether I would get vaccinated because there are side effects. I have to agree with you because the vaccine hasn't been around long enough for people to figure out the long term effects and I'm not sure if I want to take that risk
I think I would maybe get teh vaccine if I had the chance. It would be good so people stop getting sick and everything could go back to normal. A concern I would have with it would be getting sick or making you not feel good. Even though it has been tested a lot, it hasn't been around for a long time so there could be something wrong with it.
Yes, I would get it because I won't want to put the people around me at risk of getting covid and possibly dying from it like my grandparents and such I think everyone should at least think about getting it but I don't think that it should be forced because that would cause more problems for the US.
no I wouldn't because I don't think it is going to be that effective. They don't think that it will protect you for very longs anyways. I haven't gotten the flu shot and i haven't gotten the flu. But people who are high risk should get the shot though. And if you want it you should be able to get it. I think that it should be your choice.
I do not think that the vaccine is very impotant for me to get but then again i am not around many people that would be in serious danger of the virus and i have been completely fine without it. I don't really have any concerns unless they find that long term problems will be caused by the vaccine.
I believe that my biggest concern if that I might be come unfertile, but I have only heard about this though people who are uncertified and bias. another concern would be the longer trem effects that we are still not sure of, but if it take s a vaccine for me to go to Europe then I am willing to get it, and the memoried I will make over seas.
If I had the chance to get the vaccine then I would only if I need it. I believe that there is a chance I would have to get the vaccine when I travle to Europe because of there rules/laws, and my answer to that would be when and were becasue I have been waiting for two years to go on this trip.
I would definetly get the vaccine as I said in one of the other posts. Just because the risk is low and the reward can be super great and the biggest concern is its not been around and tested that much so side affects and other issues could arise but I would definetly get the vaccine.
I do not think that I would get the vaccine if I had the chance to. My biggest concern is about how fast the vaccine was able to be produced and that they may have rushed the testing to get the vaccine out to consumers. As you had pointed out, they also do not know the long-term effects of the vaccine.
