A 5 year old boy finds dozens bags of heroin in a jacket he took to school to show to his kindergarten classmates. The superintendent Paul Vallas says he believes that the drugs were the boys stepfather’s because it was his jacket that he had took to school. The boy took 50 packets out when it was his time to show what he brought. Vallas told The Associated Press that the boy only waved the heroin around after finding it in the jacket and that he didn’t formally present the packets to the class.
The boy’s stepfather went to the school and recovered the jacket. Officials say he was arrested when he returned to the school. The Connecticut Post reported that the boy was in custody of the state’s Department of Children and Families while authorities looked for other family members.
The bail for the step dad is set at $100,000.
I think this is crazy that it is that easy for a kid to get a hold of something that they shouldn't be touching. What do you think about this?

that's nuts. jeez there's alot of things on the forum post about drugs. i'm surprised iBoss doesn't block it. <---DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMBBBBBBB. (iboss) people need to be more careful about where they hide their drugs. haha
wow, who would keep stuff like that in places where childeren can easily get it and why would he have drugs in the first place??
It's sad how easy it is for little kids to get a hold of drugs. Why would you leave drugs in your jacket where a little kid can get a hold of them.
Nice job, parent. (Sarcasm) It's so annoying that people with young children choose to do drugs and 50 packets?! Jeez. Poor kid.
That was not a smart move by the dad...he shouldn't have left stuff like that in his jacket pockets, especially since the little boy couldn't have known what it was.
thats crazy how easy it is for little kids to get drugs. i hope the stepfather stops drugs so that doesnt happen again
I can't believe parents are dumb enough to deal, and keep drugs in the house with little kids around. They should know that little kids snoop and find things they shouldn't.
