Rescue workers are looking for two skiers that are lost in the snow after an Avalanche on Saturday night. Colorado avalanche experts are assessing the safety for the rescue operations on Sunday. Three other skiers were hospitalized after the avalanche. Injuries of the three include a broken leg, ankle, and possible broken rib and collapsed lung. Two other skiers left the scene unharmed.
Saturdays avalanche follows a string of deadly snow slides that killed six people last week. Two in Colorado one in Utah and Oregon. The Colorado avalanche experts say that the reason for all of the snow slides is because of unusual conditions in the rock mountains. With weak layers beneath the snow pack surface and also because of rapid warming and strong winds.
I think that global warming is getting worse which is causing all of this unusual weather all across the country.

I probably would run for my life and try to get out of the way. I also agree that our global warming is getting worse.
I don't think global warming has anything to do with it. Avalanches happen all the time people just don't hear about them unless there is a fatality.
Yes but there has been more in the recent years than usual.
We need to find more ways to fix global warming because you're right about that and i hope everyone was okay.
If I got caught in an avalanche I would try to outrun in at soon as possible and then try to dig myself out of it. But I wouldn't think I would have a chance to live.

thats really scary, expecially since my older brother moved out to colorado for medical school. he said it happens quite often more than people let on. i guess its pretty normal. whe we were out there along the roads in the mountains they had signs warning people that avalanches were possible
I would be scared senseless if I was caught in an avalanche. Honestly I probably wouldn't make it out. And Im not sold on the global warming thing.
