College??

When you think about college many of you might be saying "I'm a sophmore/freshman/junior in highschool, why would i need to be thinking about college already" Well here's the thing: the top ten schools in the U.S. are all over $35,000 a year! The good thing is though, if you want to go to a school in Iowa, there are many scholarships and not all of the top ten colleges are over $30,000 a year. The top ten in Iowa include Iowa State University, University of Iowa, Drake University, Grinnell College, Luther College, University of Northern Iowa, Coe College, Maharishi University of Management, Saint Ambrose University and Buena Vista University. Now, some of these schools I haven't ever heard of before but the places I've always wanted to go include Grinnell College (to be on the swim team) and I want to go to Drake. What are your college plans for after highschool?

Probably somewhere in state. Maybe I'll find an awesome college somewhere warm... I don't really know. I've been getting letters from Central College in Pella but I'm still unsure.

The one thing i'm nervous about going to Drake is getting lost in Des Moines! I'm going to need to invest in a new GPS before then i think...

For me im already started saving up for college, well my mom has since i was born cause she knew the college would get very expensive, so im about half way from that price which i am very gratful for!

I really want to be a nurse or doctor at Creighton..easy to visit home and closer to the mall for shopping:)

I want to go to College in Iowa City at U of I. Both of my sisters have gone there and they same like theya are having fun and getting a good education.

I have to add that it is great that many of you are starting to think about college. Starting strong in high school is very important as it potentially leads to many more scholarship opportunities later on. So do your best!

Central University! I visited my cousin there and...so many blonds I could just blend right in :) It looks like a good college with nice dorms, nice people, and nice community!

This is not even close to how beautiful it is! :D

I've heard of these schools, but I have my hopes set on Creighton or Buena Vista! But, I'd probably go to Drake, too.. because I have family only a few minutes from Drake and that's a plus! I really want to be a medical doctor! Or maybe a pediatrician!(:

I wanna go to college in Iowa. Im only a freshman, but im planning on going to Iowa State! My brother goes there now and he likes it. Im not sure What i wanna do yet but I have some time to think about that.
