Climate change has been quite a large topic for quite some time. There has been lot's of questions surrounding this topic. For example, "is it real?", "Is it caused by humans?", "how harmful could it be?", and "What can we do to stop it?". Rising global temperatures, warming oceans, and melting ice caps are all caused by global warming. Global warming is caused by increasing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmoshpere. Greenhouse gases are like carbon dioxide which is mostly caused by humans. However, there are other harmful emissions that are not caused by humans, like methane gas which is released by cattle.
Now that Joe Biden is president, he has signed many executive orders that will start eco-friendly projects as well as focusing on reducing emissions. Some of these include the Paris Climate Agreement and the cancelation of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Although the cancelation of the Keystone XL Pipeline is good for the environment, It got rid of a lot of jobs and could hurt the economy. The Paris Climate Agreement rejoins the Paris Climate Accord. The Paris Climate Agreement works on a 5-year cycle of increasingly ambitious actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Earth's average temperature has increased by 2 degrees Farhenheit during the 20th century. 2 degrees may not sound like a lot, but at the end of the last ice age, average temperatures were only 5 to 9 degrees cooler than today. Scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change estimate a temperature rise 2.5 to 10 degrees over the next century. Those are some HUGE numbers. Climate change doesn't just change the temperature, it also causes more wildfires, droughts, and increases the number and intensity of tropical storms.
How harmful do you think climate change could be if we didn't do anything to stop it?
It would take a while, but it could reach a point where earth essentially becomes unliveable. The water levels would rise significantly, causing lots of flooding all around the world. Obviously, this would be very far into the future, so things would be very different. Perhaps space travel would be a good option, and we could migrate to a different planet. It is a lot like a post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie, but this is just theoretical.
What are some method that we could use to slow climate change?
I think electric cars help a lot, after all, there are over 1 billion cars in the world, that is a lot of carbon dioxide. If more people drive electric vehicles, it could significantly decrease our emissions.

I agree, if we don't stop now and do something about it, I think we could be in trouble. I do agree that we could use electric cars, plus it would help us a lot if we stoped the carbon dioxide coming from our cars. Finally, I think that we need to stop and do something quick because it could lead to a big cause in our world, and if we do need to go to a different planet, it would probably be impossible to take every single person to a different planet.
I think that overtime climate change could be very harmful to the world. Like you said, the water levels would rise significantly, which could do a lot of damage to coastal areas and cities. I also agree with your method of lowering our emmissions and slowing climate change through electric cars. However, you always have to ask the question, where does the electricity come from? Sure we have solar pannels and windmills, but that is a very inneficient way of getting electricity. A more efficient way for that is through power plants, but those aren't good for the climate either.
If we don't do anything about climate change I think that it could hurt our environment by a lot, I think that it could destroy parts of the world and one way to stop it is to stop China. One way to slow it down is by shutting down certain parts of the world, and we could do that starting with china and their pollution into the environment an its bad.
I dont think a lot of people believe this is a very serious issue right now, but I do think that it could or will be in the future. Like you said there are some methods that we can use to try and slow climate change and I believe that some of those will work, but I don't believe everyone will want to or listen to help because there are always going to be people that disagree.
I don't think our generation will see any major affects because climate change is very slow. However I still think we need to take action to help slow/stop it. It could definitely become a huge problem in our world in the future so we need to do things now to help it.
I dont think that people think about how serious climate change is. Probably because they cant see what is has done. I agree that electirc cars can help and they are only one of many things we can do to prevent climate change form getting worse. Saving our planet would not be easy but it can be done if mroe poele start to put forth the effort into helping.
I think people don't understand how serious climate change really is. Mainly because we can't really see what it's done yet. I agree with electric cars being a good resort, because it seems that transportation has a big impact on the problem. We should do whatever we can to keep the planet clean, but we aren't doing too hot at it. The affects are starting to show slowly but surely.
I agree that people don't see how serious climate change really is. We can see it happening with weather changing, animals going extinct, and ice caps melting but many people don't think that is related to global warming. I think our society needs to make some green changes.
Climate change is real and is a problem that needs to be widely addressed by everyone. Joe BIden is taking the proper actions to prevent or at least slow down global warming so that Earth can continue to be a habitable planet for many years to come. If no one takes action against global warming, our planet will deteriorate even faster than it is right now and more damage will be done as time goes on. Electric cars are just one of the many things/solutions we can take to prevent global warming as are biodegradable products and reusable products. Many things in our world are reusable, but we choose not to reuse them and we take the easy way out. Saving our planet will not be an easy task nor will it be a task that can be completed by one person. We all have to do whatever it takes to prevent global warming.
I agree that Joe Biden is taking lot's of actions to prevent climate change. I also agree that there are many things that we could reuse, but we don't because it is easy. I believe that everyone has to work together to stop climate change.
