Chocolate's Child Slaves?

Could most of the chocolate we eat be being made by children? In the cocoa bean producing countries it's has been discovered/estimated that over 100,000 children are working in the feilds, most of them against their will in order to make our chocolate.

This really makes me think.

  • I think this is not right to make children work against there own will. Dont make little kids work in fields just for someone else to earn all the money. Thats so not right. Poor children :(
  • I think its up to the countries that are supplying us with our chocolate! Its really bad that they are making the children do this against their will, but if they have no cild labor aws we cant do anything about it!
  • that is not right .. first of all use children to work .. and second even if they dont want to .. and 100,000 children?!
how did they just discovered it now?
  • What ever happened to child labor laws. Why cant they buy machines to harvest them faster and more efficiant.
  • That's just wrong. Children should be able to have their own childhood while they still can and not be forced to do work that adults should have to

  • thats so sad.

  • That's just wrong children shouldn't have to work against their will. They are still kids I say let them enjoy their childhood. They can work when they get older. They only have one chance to be kids and have fun
  • How could people do that to kids I would feel bad. I think its wrong to force kids to do labor that adults are to lazy to do.

  • why would anyone want to do this to children, i love chocolate as much as the next guy but this is out of line
  • it is totaly wrong to make kids work against their will. they need to do something about this.
