Tong Shao was a brilliant student, loved to sculpt, and loved her parents very much. Her family saved up their life savings to send her to a nice college in America. Shao and her parents decided to send her to Iowa State University to major in chemical engineering. They thought their daughter would be safe in the heartland of the USA.. but they were wrong. Last September, Tong Shao's body was found in the trunk of her car. Her body had rotted in the heat for 3 weeks before the police found her. The last person to see her was her 23 year old boyfriend, who suspiciously vanished right after Tong Shao went missing.
Do you think her boyfriend could have done this? If so, why?
What would your reaction be if this happened to family member or loved one thousands of miles away from you?

I think it is very possible considering he disappeared right after. I would be horrified and shocked that someone could do that to another person.
I think he is a person of interest. His disappearance is very suspicious. I would be very upset and wonder why someone would do this.
He would definitely a suspect but i'm not sure if he did it or not. I would be really sad if this happened to a family member of mine.
He could have or he could have been scared that the person that went after her could go after him. I would probably be very upset and maybe not trust sending them to the U.S for college.
I think that is terrible, no one should die and hopefully it wasn't about her race.

Yes i think he could have done it because you don't disappear for no reason. I would be sad a family member died in such a horrible way.
That's just terrible news. Her boyfriend could have possible been involved with the murder, but who know. I this had happened to someone I knew, I would just be in total shock. Why would anybody want to do such a thing to a person.
Maybe he wanted revenge on her for something she did while she was at school... I guess we will never know.
