About 2 days ago, China’s Huge, Alien-Hunting Radio Telescope is finishing its testing phase. The five-hundred-meter aperture spherical telescope has hit the ground running. This testing phase has occurred in the past three years. The Telescope is in the southern China’s Guizhou province, the telescope began these trials in September 2016. Scientists are using FAST – the world’s largest single-dish radio telescope – for a variety of tasks, also including to searching for extraterrestrial life. So far, the telescope has discovered and identified 99 rapidly spinning neutron stars, mostly known as pulsars. The FAST team recently organized a user training session. This brought more than 100 astronomers from across China to discuss their discoveries and their experiences.

In someway or some form do you think this telescope might find aliens? Why or why not?
I think this Telescope actually might find new things in the cosmos, and yes it would be useful because we could learn about things from it. I hope it finds something like life on a planet that has alien microbes, because we can learn more about element based life forms.

I agree with you, I think that the telescope will help discover new things in the cosmos, and it will be useful because it will help us to better understand the universe. I believe that since our universe is infinitely big, there is definitely some other form of life outside of Earth, so I hope that this telescope could help the scientists find other forms of life.
I agree with you that this telescope could be useful to find some new things or look further into so of the things we don't know much about. I do not believe the telescope will find or locate any aliens, because I don’t think aliens exist, but anythings possible.
I think the telescope is cool but extraterrestrial life is kind of just a made up thing no one knows is real I don't think it would be use full for fining extraterrestrial life but it would be use full in finding new stars/planets. Again no becasue its just kind of a myth no one has ever proved right.
I think that it is a waste of money and it is not very useful but I guess if you want to see some boring planets in space then it is useful. China will probably just use it to spy on their citizens more. I do not think they will find aliens either.
I do think that this telescope would be helpful for further space exploration and discovery. I'm not too sure if this telescope could find aliens. If aliens did exist, they would have to live extremely far away to be on a planet that can sustain life. Even if there was life on another planet, it could only be microscopic, like bacteria.
I think the telescope will be very useful to help us learn more about the universe and what is surrounding us. I also hope it finds something like life, but I feel like we just don't have enough tecnology and knowledge to find more life like humans quite yet. Although, it would be very cool if they did.
I think that this telescope willa be very important in the process of expanding human knowledge of the universe and what we can see so far. I think that we will be able to find new planets and a celestial bodies with this telescope but I am not too sure that it will directly help in finding alien life at the moment
I think it's a unique telespcope that that or may not help us learn about so-called alien life. It would be useful to look closer at other planets in the solar system. I do not think this telescope will find aliens. If there are aliens in the solar system, we would've found them by now.
I think that this telescope could help scientists learn a lot more about space like maybe new planets that could maybe support life in the future. I think it would be cool if they found other life on another planet but I don't think they will.
I do think that this telescope is a cool piece of equipment and could be helpful. I am not sure what life lies in space so it would be very interesting to see what could be found. A lot of people believe that at some point Earth will overpopulate and we will need another place to grow to. Like I said, I am not sure what we find, but I think we could potentially discover aliens. So overall, I hope we can use this telescope to discover more life.
