The United States and China have decided to work together to ban the import and export of ivory(Since China Allows Ivory in their Country) , this represents a huge step yet to shut down an industry of illegal hunting for elephants which is putting some species at risk. “This is the first time that both United states and China have decided to work together to help protect wildlife” says the Humane Society of the United States. The illegal ivory trade has been linked to terrorist organizations and organized crimes. The United states and China will now restrict the import of ivory as hunting trophies as well as work to restrict the domestic ivory trade. They will also expand cooperation in training, information-sharing, public education, and law enforcement. This agreement “should have a profound effect” on poaching says Peter Knight, the executive director of WildAid a non-profit organization that fights wildlife trafficking. “The fight will carry on, but this is probably the largest single step that could have been taken,” Knight says. This agreement puts pressure on ivory loving Hong-Kong which is where the legal commercial trade often provides cover for those seeking to launder illegal ivory."
Are the Chinese too late to help save the Elephants?
Why do you think the Chinese are now just going to ban ivory in China?

I don't think it is ever too late to try and save something as long as you try and put forth the best effort you have. I think the Chinese are finally coming to there senses are doing something good.
I don't think they are too late. They are starting to figure out their problems which can only help and do less damage than they were doing before.
I don't think that they are too late to save the Elephants. And I think they are now just doing it because they are realizing how ,many elephants there are really left and how they need to protect them
I agree but disagree because I believe they still late because they are hardly any elephants left in the wild.
