Approximately 8,600 children are getting married each year, about one and five girls are married before the age of 18. Child marriage can affect many things such as education as the couple are no longer focused on school and other useful/important life benefits as they are only focusing on they’re marriage, honeymoon, and things like that, that should’nt be discussed until after 18. (In my opinion).
It can also be argued that it would lead to more violence not just between the couple, but others that may be “affecting” the outcome of the couple such as trust issues thinking the other would cheat on them and not having as much trust in others and your significant other also leading to the loss of friendships just because of the fact that you’re married and not wanting to lose that one person or relationship meaning you care about nothing/nobody else.
It could also lead to severe mental health problems such as pregnancy at a young age, which can not only affect you but your child and significant other. There has been many legislation and programs to help raise awareness towards this issue, hopefully causing the number of child marriages to decrease significantly. Being married at a young age could also result into being isolated and causing you to be at a higher risk of physical and sexual violence.

I personally think that child marriages are not the right thing. Children still have their whole life ahead of them and have not matured all the way. If you have both parent's permission I think that it is fine, but being under the age of 18 and getting married is a big decision. To get married means you're going to be with someone for the rest of your life so I think after the age of 18 is probably a good age to wait till.
Overall I do not think that anyone under the age of 18 years old should be getting married as that is a very big commitment for someone who is still so young. I think that marriage is a very serious thing and that it should not be something that is impulsive. So no I do not think that child marriage is ok.
I do not think that anyone under 18 should be able to get married because they are not even fully grown up. I think that there needs to be more people informed about this issue. Since it is kinda weird that someone can get married but can not have alcohol legally.
No. Just no. I think its really disturbing that an adult would want to marry a child, literally a child. I don't know if I think people under the age of 18 should be allowed to get married, it just seems like a bad idea to get married so young.
I agree it is super disturing and also really dumb to get married at a young age becasue you don't know what you wanna do later on in life which might ruin the relationship and also you're going to miss a lot of life chances if your only priority is your significant other.
Obviously, child marriages should not be okay. It's disgusting to marry off an 11-year-old girl to a 55-year-old man who will get her pregnant and make her raise a family, probably abusing her as well. It's horrific and there is not enough awareness raised on how much it actually still happens in places like the Middle East.
