The shootings and murders were tracked from 6:00 PM Friday through Sunday in Chicago, IL. There were 24 shootings and 5 murders in this time span. In one incident two men dressed in dark clothes entered a baby shower/family gathering where two children were among the injured.The two children are in stable condition. Police said the two men fled on foot and witnesses have been uncooperative. It is believed that it was a retaliatory shooting involving gang members. It is believed the first warm weekend is to blame for the increase from the same time last year when there were 18 shootings and 4 murders.

I think that the weather could have caused the shootings and murders,because people are out side a lot more when the weather gets easier out.
2.) Do you think that the waitnesses around should or should not coorperate with the police?
I think that they should beacuse so that they catch the two men that comitted the crime. They need to track them down and piece together the information.

I think the weather influenced the murders because now it is warm for them to be on the run. Also, more people will be outside. I think the witnesses should get the police involved but stay anonymous because the shooters could go after them for telling the police.
I think that the weather maybe has something to do with the increase in violence. I guess in the winter, murderers and shooters aren't going to be out as much because of the cold. I think that it would help the police out if the witnesses would cooperate and answer the questions so the police can get to the bottom of the story.
i think with it being warm the shooters knew people were going to be out and about so it would be easier to kill people. but even if it wasn't warm out they still could have gone into a building and shot that place up.
The weather allows people to get out and do more, thus increasing the amount of violence happening in the Chicago area. The witnesses should always cooperate with the police, if they don't they could get unessecary charges put against them.
I agree with you that the weather might have something to do with it, because like you said, more people are outside then usual. I believe it would be the best interest for witnesses to cooperate with the police so they can help other families during this sad time.
yes i think the weather has something to do with the increase in violence. The warmer it gets, the more people are outside and its much easier for a mass shooting to happen. I think that they should of cooperated the with police because it would be easier to catch the criminals that way.
