Chicago homicides

Most of us have heard that there are a lot of murders in Chicago. One thing you might not know is that the murder rate is rising. From about 2,200 in 2013 to nearly 3,000 in 2015. A big reason for this is gang violence. Most of Chicago murders are done with guns which can be controlled but clearly they are having problems with it. It gets so bad that people are scared to go outside. Most of the people there do not like cops. The government really can't make decisions for the people. It will take the citizens to change the city.

How do you think people can solve this problem?

What will the people do?

  • For this topic, your summary could have been a bit longer with more of an explanation. You also didn't provide your thoughts in your summary. Be sure to hyperlink correctly as well.

  • I think if people just stop being stupid and stop the violence this whole problem can end. If people wouldn't break the law then nobody would have to be afraid to go outside. I think they will crack down on gang violence and try to make sure that nobody around them is breaking the law. It will be a monkey see monkey do situation.

  • I don't understand why this happens. Like if you didn't break the law in such violent manners, you wouldn't have such a negative reaction for the police forces. If you would just follow the laws we wouldn't be having the problem.

    • I totally agree. They blame the cops for a lot with what goes wrong with their lives although in most cases it is their faults.
