Hariharan Krishnan hardly looks like a street racer. With thin-rimmed glasses and a neat mustache, One day he was driving recklessly and speeding. This nice man from General Motors’ research center in Warren, Michigan was the passenger in this car. His name was not stated. As he Hariharan sped around the corner lights began flashing on the dashboard, there was a beeping sound, and then our seats began buzzing like crazy. Then Krishnan then slammed on the brakes just as another car sped past from the left of the car.
The technology had warned him of the wreck that he could have been in. This is called car-to-car or vehicle- to vehicle communication. This is a type of communication that lets care broadcast the position, speed, steering position, and data from cars around. This is unfolding detailed pictures revealing trouble that the most careful and alert drivers need. The communication between cars will begin to have a bigger impacted on advanced vehicles to reduce the amount of accidents.
Krishnan took his work partner on many car-to-car scenarios in the parking lot of their company. When he went to pull into a parking spot that was already occupied by another car an alert started to sound. When he attempted a maneuver that was quite risky the car had warning lights flash and a voice sounded and said "Oncoming Vehicle."
Over 5 million crashed occur on the US roads every year. more that 30,000 of those are fatal. The car-to-car communication is supposed to reduce that number yearly.
Questions:
1) How would you feel if you got a car like this? Would you feel more safe?
2) Do you feel this would be a safe approach to making cars safer? Why or why not?
My opinion-
I would feel so much more safe in a car like this because being in a car accident is a big fear of mine. So if this prevents most crashes maybe it would take one step closer to making our world a better place.
I feel like this is a much safer way to making cars safer. Only because if it reduces car accidents maybe parents will b able to sleep at night and not worry about kids not making it home after hanging out with friends. Or worrying about if a deer jumps out at night.

Good job overall but I think you could have replied a few more times.
I would feel more safe in a car like that-it really is a step forward in the right direction in making cars more safe, though they have already come a long way. It would lower the number of accidents and fatalities, but with technology, something could always go wrong.
I think that cars communicating is a genius idea but I don't know how much I would really trust the car. It is a great idea in theory but in practice I feel like it will take a very long time to perfect. If this idea works the way it is suppose to it would create a safer environment and eliminate lots of traffic accidents . The problem is that this communication idea could be hacked and be very dangerous.
I think the car-to-car communication is a very cool idea and I would feel safer in this car. If I works as good as the article spoke of then I think every car should have this technology. This technology is a great approach to making cars safer and making drivers better. But if the computer messes up then the same number of crashes will happen, and this might allow drives to be more careless.
I think this is absolutely genius! I would feel so protected and aware of my surroundings. The amount of lives this technology could save in unbelieveable. I think this a is a great approach to help making cars a more safer and reliable way of transportation.
I think this is a cool idea. I think it will make driving safer and help prevent crashes. I think it would be fun to test out. I think I would get annoyed of it and probably yell back at the car. It is a computerized thing and computers can always get messed up witch could cause more problems
It would definitely make me feel safer. I (hopefully) wouldn't be in a car-to-car accident, but this won't stop me from hitting something that's not a car such as a deer or other animal. I feel like this would help, but it might cause problems too; like Mr. Bruns was saying, someone might be able to hack this type of car since it is so high tech and stuff.
This is a really good way to put it. Because as I was reading I wasn't quite sure if it said anything about if you were going to hit an animal if it would stop you or not. But either way it would be dangerous if you were to hit something.
I don't want my car telling me what to do, and for my car to deem what is safe and isn't. Plus this technology might prevent you from making a move that would correct a situation, and cause an accident that you yourself could have prevented. Also, this gives hackers another target to hit.
I would in fact feel safer in a car that had this advancement in technology. This would just be more eyes on the road for me and I can be even more able of my surroundings. I think this car-to-car communication is an extreme asset to everyone who drives cars. If this is something that will soon become standard in cars, then I feel there would be many fewer accidents.
