Many female characters rely on romance or nudity in movies, but the women of Captain Marvel enforce diversity of women in race, careers, and talents. The film also released on International Women's Day during Women's History Month. The #CaptainMarvelChallenge is a movement to have young girls go and see the movie. The challenge is about getting the girls to see women in powerful positions, hearing about women creating, and working in environments dominated by men. The challenge hopes to encourage girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Captain Marvel is a film hoping to expose and encourage boy, girls, men and women, to see certain strengths that are not always seen in other movies.
How do you feel about Marvel coming out with a movie with a female lead?
I am excited. I was hoping for a Black Widow moving, considering she has a very interesting background, and it would be cool to see her in some of her own action. Most of the women in Marvel movies have very strong female leads. So, it is cool to see a movie finally coming out.
Do you think the #CaptainMarvelChallenge will make and impact on young girls?
I think the challenge will make a good impact on young girls. Marvel has a lot of male superheros that young boys can look up to. Girls do not have many females to look up to. Girls usually have to turn towards the option of Disney movies, and boys have Marvel. But, now girls can looks towards Marvel because they have a strong female character making her debut.

Well done Madi!
I feel that it is great that Marvel came out with a movie to empower women and encourage them to do greater things in life and to take those strong roles. I do think the #CaptainMarvelChallenge will make a large impact on young girls by challenging them to encourage others and believe in themselves.
With all the male Marvel heros, I feel the female Marvel is a nice change. It was great idea.
Yes, because Captian Marvel puts out a message that girls can be in power/leader positions. It shows that it doesn't always have to be a male.
I think it's a good thing because even though women aren't as much respected as men these days,it's getting better. I think it will make an impact on girls, especially because boys look up to superheros. when there is a girl in the main role, the boys will maybe see that girls can do the same as the they themself.
I agree, this challenge is good because in the movie industry women are being a little left out. The challenge will help promote a positive atmosphere for the young women who could potentially run our country one day.
I have don't have a problem with a female lead, but Marvel made some controversial statements and people are not happy with Brie Larson. Captain Marvel is the worst rated Marvel MCU movie because of statements made by the cast and Marvel. Alita Battle Angel was a great movie with a female role that was a big hit because it stayed away from bringing politics into films. I don't see why they created a challenge that puts their worst rated movie into the spotlight.
Finally, a challenge that doesn't challenge people's stupidity. I mean, remember the Tide Pods? The Bird Box Challenge? Finally, there is a trending challenge out there that doesn't make me want to beat my head against a wall. I think that its cool what Marvel is doing and how they are supporting the empowerment of young girls. It does seem like a camouflaged publicity stunt to an extent, however. But I'm sure challenge or no, the movie would have already gotten millions of views either way.
I felt the same way, finally a challenge that is not strange. The challenge is actually normal, and I like it. Because, I felt the same way when the tide pod and bird box challenge came out. I love the idea that Marvel is promoting this challenge.
1. i mean to me it doesnt really make a difference whether she is the lead or not considering marvel has a lot of bada** female characters in the mcu already black widow Gamorra from guardian of the galaxy valkryie from thor ragnarok hope and ghost from antman and the wasp etc.
2. if its a good movie then it will have a big impact if its a bad movie then it may still have an impact but less of one.
I think it will be different, which different is good so it's not always the same during the series of movies. I think it will make a impact on girls because now we know that it's not always boys that can be a "superheros" it can be girls to, because usually like you said girls are disney movies and boys are marvel.
