On February 2nd, a young man by the name of Amir Locke was killed during a SWAT invasion of his apartment complex while carrying out a search warrant dealing with a homicide case. The authorities stated that Amir was not named a suspect on the warrant and his attorney's representation stated that Amir was staying at his cousin’s apartment. For these reasons people have taken to the street to protest under the BLM movement; Black Lives Matter.
Two years ago with the death of George Floyd, BLM came surging out of nowhere and had massive protests even during lockdowns over the George Floyd incident and others. The Amir Locke incident has caused some, (but not all yet) to rally up again and resurge in protests for equality and justice. Although there is lot of controversy with these protests due to how violent many of them became over the summer, especially the looting.
Personally, I don’t know for sure if there will be a resurgence in BLM protests because it seemed like a lot of people just hopped on it like a “trend” during the George Floyd era. I can’t say if it’s the SWAT team’s fault because they haven’t released many details on the incident yet. I don’t know if I really support the BLM movement because of how violent they get and of some of their practices to get what they want. Personally, I think it would be better if we didn’t have to resort to a “fire vs. fire” mentality.
Do you think there will be a resurgence in BLM protests due to this?
Do you think it was the SWAT team’s fault for killing Amir?
Do you support the BLM movement?

Marissa,
I think it would have helped to change your title to focus on BLM as that is really what the majority of your summary and two of your questions were about. It would have brought more comments. Also, as a froum post leader, be sure to promote your story throughout the week. "Bump" it earlier and ask freinds to comment.
