The wildfires in California have beat the states record before the wildfire season even starts! Over 2 million acres of land have burned due to the fires. 224 people have been flown out of burning areas. 0% of the wildfire has been contained so far and the Cheif of the Firefighters thinks they need a break, but they won't receive one because of how bad the fire is.
20 of the people that were saved by air were injured with broken bones and burns and two of them had to be taken out on stretchers. Officials believe that they got everybody out of that area, but will continue to search for stragglers. About 450 firefighters, 3 helicopters and 3 air tankers are fighting the fire now. The National Weather Service sent out an excessive heat warning with temperature from 107 up to 112 degrees. This heat is definitely not going to help the firefighters fighting the fire! The Fresno County Sheriff's office told everyone by Shaver Lake to leave right away by Sunday.
What do you think started the fire?
Should the firefighters change what they are doing, or should they keep doing what they're doing?

Gavin,
The summary that you did is what I did last year. This year I am looking for "hot takes" which requires much more personal voice within your summary. You don't have any persoanl voice within yoru summary. Also be sure to reply three different days and try to mix up what you say a bit more when replying back to students.
I think the fire could've been purposely started by someone with a match lighting the very dry ground. The firefighters should keep doing what they're doing because they won't be able to stop a fire completely until it is very small and what they do is make it smaller and smalller and slowing the spread. There's not really much else they can do unless hundreds of firefighters showed up to help.
I think that it could have been a possible campfire that started it or maybe there were people out there that werent thinking straight in the heat and high fire advisory in California and accidently started a fire. I feel like they should stay the same because they have put out many fires, but I also think that they should change a few things to what they are doing.
I agree with you Stephen because anything could've cause this fire to start and it is so dry out there.
I heard that a baby gender reveal party gone wrong is what initially started the fires, but I believe the fire could have increased due to mulitple other reasons. California, but also the west coast as a whole, is very dry and very known in the US to be on fire constantly. I think it's unfortunate that this is happening, and the firefighters should continue to fight the fire.
In my opinion, the wildfires started because it is so dry out in California. Any type of fire can catch on to something else, and it can become an even bigger fire. I think there are also many factors to why the fires started. I also think that the firefighters are doing their best to stop these fires from spreading even more throughout California's land.
I agree with you Ryleigh because it is so dry and so many different things could've started it
There are multiple reasons the wildfire could of started. I think the fires could of been started from a campfire, someone playing with matches, or even dropping a cigarette. With California being dry its most likely more difficult to put the fire out. The firefighters should keep doing what they are doing. I beileve the firefighters are doing all that they can to put out the fire.
I agree with you Sophie because anything really that could've started it. California is a very dry state so a fire could've started very easily.
I think that the fires could have been started by a campfire that did not get fully put out or ash from a cigar, since cali is very dry at times so it doesnt take much to start a fire. I think the fire fighters are doing whatever they can and i dont think they can do much because of the size of the fire.
