California Governor signs ban on Guns

California Governor Jerry Borwn signed a law that stated you can't openly carry a handgun in the state of California. This law is going to start on Jan. 1st. California is the 5th state to do this. The one thing i haved to say is what about the right to bare arms. I am very unhappy with this law.

I've always said California was crazy... They take things too far when limiting rights too

I am against this law because it breaks the constitution but we should still have to have a gun permit and go through the class or whatever to be able to carry it.

With this law in effect, it makes it easier for police to identify who is a potential criminal. Only criminals would be carrying guns under this law, so if an officer spots one, they can arrest them without waiting for the weapon-carrier to commit an unjust act. It will lessen the amount of gun-related crimes and will put more potentially dangerous individuals in custody.

I think it's both good and bad...good that there just might be less killings...but bad because of self-defence and what about the police? Does this new law apply to them?

  no why would it apply to police because people could break the law and shoot cops then what would cops do

I think it good and bad The good is that there may not be as many shooting and the bad is that people cant defend there self if they get jjumped or something.

well its good and bad..good because now considering all the gangs in california'a big cities..they can get in trouble for the littlest thing as having a gun! wich you know they actually deserve!

bad..because NORMAL people should have the right to these things as their own protection!

we are supposed to be able to carry a gun ok ya u should be able to walk down the street and wave it around but u should be able to have a gun if u want to what do u do if u have one already this law is stupid

I think that this is good because we don't need any more people to die. What i mean is look at Omaha if you watch the new there are always gun fights and shots. So i like this law.

I think its dumb because the people with guns dont care they will still carry them. The people who use guns for protection aren't safe now.
