On sunday deputy Dennis Wallace a 20 year veteran of the department was shot twice in the head by David Machado. Wallace was investigating a suspicious van at the Fox Grove Fishing Access. When he reported the car was stolen, Dennis abruptly stopped talking and wouldn't answer his rado. More officers were sent to the scene and found deputy wallace dead. Machado was caught the same day, driving another stolen car. When authorities arrested him, muchado wasn't evan able to pull his weapon out it all happened so fast. Muchado is now facing charges for killing a peace officer. Officers handling the case are currently trying to get muchado put on death row for what he has done.
Do you think Muchado should be put on death row?

Personally, I believe that the death sentence is both appropriate and inappropriate. Appropriate because he murdered someone who is supposed to protect us and be a role model to kids. inappropriate because he could just serve a life sentence, very few people that have done the same have been put to death, most are sent to jail for life.

Well done Michael. You could have replied a few more times.
I think that rightfully he should be killed because he really did commit man slaughter or murder he killed a police officer. I feel that he just reaches the death sentence line.
I think that he should because he killed someone that protects us, and our communities.
I think that he should be given the death sentence, because he shot and killed a police officer. Although, spending the rest of your life in prison would be terrible.
I personally do not believe in the death penalty so therefore I believe he should not be put on the death row. The concept does not make sense to me. If you are trying to make a statement that he should not have killed the police officer, then why would you kill him? Isn't that the exact same thing you are trying to prevent? However, what he did was awful, and he should definitely be punished for what he has done. I think he should be put in jail for the rest of his life.
by reading the story it might seem like muchado might not have been the one that killed the officer it might have been someone else but let say it IS him who killed the officer, i still don't think he should be put in the death row. i have never been a fan of the death row myself because it's solving evil by adding more evil like in this case they would be taking justice for what he did by spilling more blood and how is that supposed to help? how would we ever find other ways to end violence if we solve it by being violent?
I think the death penalty is valid in this situation cause clearly this man did not care about what he had done.
I think that death row it necessary for people, that murder people and other things. I also think he shouldn't be sentenced death row because if he just sits in a cell all day he can think about what he did and go crazy for the rest of his life, which is what he deserves.
This a terrible thing that happened. I think he should be put to death row and that she should thrown in prison and be sentenced to life.
I think that he deserves death row, because we all know the Golden Rule of "Do unto others as you would have done unto you". So if he killed this officer who wasn't doing anything wrong, than he should be killed as well.
