Burger King Employee Involved in Identity Theft

In Ohio, at a Burger King, a woman went to the drive thru to order food. When she realized one of the workers was involved in identity theft. She was sitting at the window wanting to pay so she handed him her debit card just to see him take a picture of it with his phone. So she asked him about it and he denied it  to her. Shortly after she got the manger involved and told him that he was taking a picture of my debit card. The manger looked through the employees phone just to find all the pictures he had taken of customers debit cards. The manger then contacted the local police department, as woman decided cancelled her debit card. As of right now his phone is with the police and they are looking into the investigation.

What would you do if you were the one to see him take a picture of your debit card?

I would do what the women did I would ask why he did it and then get the manger and police involved.

What do you think will happen to the employee?

I think that he should get fired from his job and get charged with theft.

  • Well done overall Makayla. Be sure to use Word to type your summary in first as it will help with some of the errors within your summary.

  • Confront him first if he denies it then talk to manager just like the woman did.

Will be charged and have that on his record and probably owes money back to people now. Also harder to get a job knowing he steals money.

  • I think that the women handled the situation very well. I would probably do the exact same thing. I would call him out on it, and if he denied it I would then ask to talk to the manager to solve this situation. I think he should be fired for sure on the spot, and the police should do more background research on him to see what else he has done.

  • I agree with what you said that is probably what I would do to becuase I would be suspicios if he was taking a picture of someones debit card. I think that he will definitly get fired and get charged with theft or some other crime because that isn't right what he did.

    • If I was that women I would be mad and I would talk to the manager and to the police. I agree with you it would be suspicious of him taking the picture. I also think that he will get fired and get charged because what he did isn't right.

  • If i saw someone do that i would get the manager involed right away and i would be really mad at the person who did it and never eat there again

i think that he should get fired and go to jail for doing the identity theft

    • I agree with you if I saw him do that I would get the manager and police involved right away. I would also be mad at what I had to all go through just to get some food. He will probably get fired and put in jail for what he did.

  • I agree with the way they handled it. I would ask them what they were doing and get the police involved if I have any worries. As for the employee, I would assume he's going to jail for a long time depending on how many people he made victims of.

    • I believe that she did the right thing and that she handled it well. I would for sure get the manager and police involved in this case. Also, the emplyee will most likely get fired from his job and go to jail for awhile depending on how many people he took pictures of their debit cards.

  • I agree that I would have the same response as the woman, and I would be angry and upset if he has been doing it for a long time without people noticing. I think he will be in biiiig time trouble, maybe even time in jail if he actually went forward with the theft, as opposed to just taking pictures of the cards.
