Bullying

While some people might not admit it, bullying is a huge problem in our world today. Bullying is aggressive action or behavior targeted at a specific individual with the intention of hurting them physically or mentally. In some cases, the bullies are angry and don't know how to express it. Making someone else suffer with them.

Bullying can occur during or after school hours. It mostly happens during school. Stats show that 43% of bullying is done in the hallways. Being the subject of rumors or lies is the number one cause of bullying in schools. It is usually repeated several times. There are 3 types of bullying. Verbal bullying, Social bullying, and Physical bullying. The most common type of bullying is verbal. This could include things like teasing, name calling, threats and more.

Nothing good can come out of bullying. It could change or ruin a person's life. In fact, It does ruin many kids lives. Hundreds of thousands of children are affected every day in the United States because of bullying. Bullying can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone. Most of the time kids don't know that someone is being affected by the bully. In January, two sisters had committed suicide. Only 13 and 15 years old. Their friends had said they had no idea that she was being affected by this guy. This is why it is always important check up on people. We can do things like stand up for kids that are being bullied or tell an adult to help stop it.

    • I partly agree with this but we all know bullying happens at our school and it's just people don't say anything because if they do they know that they would get bullied even more than they already are.  People shouldn't be treated like this.

  • I would agree that bullying is a problem especially in schools. Most schools have a no bullying policy but we usually don't see that rule being enforced. Bullying has a big effect on people mentally and physically. Most people don't realise people are being bullied, nor do they know how to help.

  • Bullying is definetly a problem all over the place. Those things can have quite an impact on peoples mental and emotional health. I feel that bullying is made a big deal at our school but nothing is really being done to help anything.

  • I have not been bullied and I haven't really seen anyone else get bullied. I think the school is pretty strict on that kind of stuff and that's why it doesn't happen that often. It is a big problem in other schools and it needs to be stopped. If anyone does see it happening they should step in and stop it from happening.

    • I agree with you that we don't see much bullying here. But it is definitley a problem at other school.

  • No I have never personally be bullied and I don't think I've ever seen someone else get bullied really. I think our school is pretty good at handling bulling and don't think it happens often, but I know it is a problem in a lot of schools and should be stopped and if anyone is getting bullied at our school should have it stopped.

  • I have never really experienced bullying at school which is good for me but I know that it happens a lot within the school and that it hurts a lot of people I have tried sometimes to help people who are getting bullied.

  • No I have not personally been bullyied or seen anyone get bullied but i have heard of it happening in our school. but if i saw it happening i would definitely try to help them out and see whats all going on.

  • I believe bullying is awful and cruel and I also think there is lots of bullying that goes on in our school. I was picked on here and there for little things in middle school, However I wasn't bullied and riticled to the degree that some are and I think we should have a system in place to help prevent bullying in the future.

  • I've seen bullying toward one person recently, but there isn't much that I can really do about it. Unfortunately it's all out of my control, maybe if the teachers actually noticed the things that have been going on, I wouldn't even have to worry about that type of thing.
