Bullying

While some people might not admit it, bullying is a huge problem in our world today. Bullying is aggressive action or behavior targeted at a specific individual with the intention of hurting them physically or mentally. In some cases, the bullies are angry and don't know how to express it. Making someone else suffer with them.

Bullying can occur during or after school hours. It mostly happens during school. Stats show that 43% of bullying is done in the hallways. Being the subject of rumors or lies is the number one cause of bullying in schools. It is usually repeated several times. There are 3 types of bullying. Verbal bullying, Social bullying, and Physical bullying. The most common type of bullying is verbal. This could include things like teasing, name calling, threats and more.

Nothing good can come out of bullying. It could change or ruin a person's life. In fact, It does ruin many kids lives. Hundreds of thousands of children are affected every day in the United States because of bullying. Bullying can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone. Most of the time kids don't know that someone is being affected by the bully. In January, two sisters had committed suicide. Only 13 and 15 years old. Their friends had said they had no idea that she was being affected by this guy. This is why it is always important check up on people. We can do things like stand up for kids that are being bullied or tell an adult to help stop it.

  • I have never been bullied at school here but I have seen it happen to other people. I feel like a lot of times other kids don't notice it happening. There have been times where it has been right in front of me and I never even noticed. My friends and I recently stopped some bullying that was happening.

  • I think there is bullying at our school bullying is every where. But I haven't really seen bullying happen but if I did I don't know what i would do i would try to stand up to them or maybe tell someone if it got really bad. I think bullying is a huge problem all around the world.

  • Although nobody sees the bullying at our school, there definietly is some bulling going on. Theres always going to be bulling everywhere you go. But If i see it happening I'd stand up for them. I've never seen it happen though.

    • Even though we don't see it I agree that there is definitley some bullying happening here.

  • There is constant bullying at our school. I think some of our teachers don't understand or see the resaon why some are upset. If one tries to stick up for one at school they get bullied right back. School bullying is a horrible thing. I don't know one person who hasn't been bullied at school.

  • Yes I have seen times when there was bullying going on, sometimes it was not very bad but there has also been times where it got way out of hand. So I tried to step in and help and tell a teacher but most the time the teacher is too late and they can't actually help untill the damage has been done.

  • I think that many people have been bullied but don't just say anything because it doesn't really hurt or affect them. I agree bullying is a huge problem in the world and many people get bullied every day but I think that since its way too common people don't notice it and don't help people because they don't see that the people are getting bullied.

  • I have experienced bullying but by getting bullied it taught me that you have to grow some skin and not let words hurt you. After all, the person that is picking on you probably has other problems and has to find a way to get over them.

  • I have not experienced bullying in school but I also agree that it could lead to big things like suicide if it's not helped. It could also lead up to crimes being commited becaue of how people feel about themselves and how they feel about everybody else.

  • Personally I've never experienced bullying, but I know what it can lead to and I would never stand by and see somebody else get bullied. Thankfully our school doesn't have that problem much, but if I were to see someone get bullied I would try to stop it or notify a teacher, or counselor.
