People are starting to think that college degrees are worth nothing. There is a single, unemployed mother, Rosalyn Harris, who figured she'd go to college, since she'd never gone. profit Everest College in Chesapeake, Va. She is in $22,000 student loan debt. She said classes were horrible, she didn't get any of the training she needed, and ended up that she spent months after graduation searching for criminal justice jobs without ever getting a call back. She ended up working at Victoria Secret stocking selves to just pay off some debt. You could work there without ever having gone to college.
"My sole purpose of going to school was bettering my life for me and my son," she said. "But now I wish I had never gone." Which is so sad.
There is numerous stories where this has come to play. This was just the most heart warming.

I think that college is important, but the prices are going up to have to majors money worth going down. Without college though you aren't going to get as far.

College is not for everyone and it does not guarantee you a job especially in fields that have a lot of people looking for jobs in. With that said, if you want to make good money in your lifetime, most people will need a college degree, no matter how expensive it is.
I think that attending college costs too much and for most people, it ends up not being worth it in the end. They get a minimum to medium wage job, have thousands of dollars of debt that they have to pay off, all while trying to support a family. College is definitely important, for the knowledge and education you receive and the freedom it helps ease you into after high school.
I think college should be cheaper or not cost at all. The most expensive thing in college is food and living expenses, I don't think we need tuition on top of that. I think we need to go to college to get a better education but only if you want a good paying job. I think they just need to lower the prices and more people will go.
Honestly no one can find a job either way, i don't know if its important anymore. Its scary to think that im going to be spending so much money and it might turn out to be worth nothing.
College helps but it is expensive. It is good to be smart and do good in school and get scholarships to help pay. I don't agree it is waste. You just have to keep looking for a job and she might have not chosen a very good career path to go down. She might have been able to pick a better degree that offered more job choices.
I think that the price of college is getting higher, but I don't think it is a waste of time. I think it is even more important because there are going to be many jobs that require a certain degree. If you don't have a degree and you just have a high school diploma, you aren't going to get as good of job as the people with the degree will get.
I agree prices are getting higher, but I still find getting a college degree very important. I feel that a college degree is more important than ever before. Many teachers have told me that when they were leaving high school you could easily find a well paying job, now when you graduate from high school its harder to get a well paying job without further knowledge. That is why I find college important.
I think that college is not what it used to be. Any education now a days is that you memorize the stuff for a test just to get a good grade, but not actually learning things that we will need in life. People are going just to get a degree, but when they get into the real world, it isn't used as effectively.
That is such a good point. It's all about memorizing, so easy to forget after doing that too. Not helping at all.
