Women decide wether they want to breastfeed or use formula. Breastfeeding has many benefits for the mother and baby. This is why a lot of mothers choose this route. In making this decisions women have to think about how comfortable they will be breastfeeding in public. It's not for everyone because some people aren't comfortable with it. This decision however shouldn't be affected by people judging women for doing it.
When a women decides to breastfeed they know that they might have to breastfeed in public. When the baby is hungry you have to feed it. Sometimes that means dropping what your doing and breastfeeding. Babies don't wait to eat like we can someimes. When they are hungry they cry. So it's either letting your baby cry or feeding your baby.
Some people are uncomfortable with the fact that other women breastfeed in public. They think they should "cover up" or feed their baby in the bathroom. If you have that big of problem with a mother feeding her baby in public maybe you shouldn't be out in public. People think that it's inappropriate to breastfeed in public. Although, breastfeeding is completly natural. If it wasn't sexualized it wouldn't be a problem. Women already have to decide if they are comfortable with breastfeeding in public and the people judging them for it aren't helping. Not to mention it is totally legal in all 50 states. So these women are doing nothing wrong and still get rude comments thrown their way. Let's normalize breastfeeding in public.

I would NOT be uncomfortable if I saw a woman breastfeeding in public, I've been around newborn babies who nurse and understand that they need to be fed often and sometimes refuse a bottle. I don't think it's inappropriate at all, context is important.
If there was a women breastfeeding in public I wouldn't really care because I know that it is a need for the baby. People sometimes have to change the baby in public and I don't think that is a problem either. I do not think it is innapropriate if it is just on the sidewalk bench but if it is in a restaraunt then it is inapropriate. If the baby has to feed that bad then you can just go to the bathroom. It should not be illegal because its just something that is probably seen everyday.
Just like the mom that is in the restraunt is hungry the baby could be too. A women has every right to breastfeed in a restraunt. If you have such a problem with it then maybe you should refrain from eating out.
Personally, a woman breastfeeding their baby in public would make me slightly uncomfortable. It’s obviously a natural thing and they can’t help that they have to feed their baby. This should remain legal everywhere because this is just moms doing their job. Plus, most women doing it try to cover up as much as they can anyways.
I do get kind of uncomfortable when someone is breastdeeding in public, but I think they have every right to do so. Babies need their nutrients at certain time and I don't think anyone should be stopping that mother from giving the baby the nutrients it needs. So obviously it should be legal.
Seeing a woman breastfeeding in public wouldn't make me uncomfortable, it's natural and I think that there is nothing inappropriate about it, they are just feeding their child. I understand that it might not be really hard for a woman to cover up but people can just not look if something this natural and normal makes them uncomfortable or something.
Breastfeeding is natural for women, so no it wouldn't make me uncomfortable, it's just in the nature of women to take care of their kids. I can see how it could be inappropriate, but I ,personally, do not think it's inappropriate because it's the most natural thing women do. I don't believe it should be illegal because that means that it would decrease the profit of trains, taxis, and every other public transport.
This should remain legal everywhere. It should be normalized because it's a normal thing to do. I do not feel it's inappropriate because you have to do what you have to do. I would be totally comfortable, because they shouldn't have to go into the bathroom. If they use the restroom, they are risking their health along with their babies. No woman should go into the bathroom or car to feed their baby.
I agree. If people really have a problem maybe they should eat in the bathroom or their car. It is so natural that is shouldn't be deemed as bad
