The Pentagon and US intelligence services are consulting with Syria's neighbors Turkey, Israel and Jordan about what to do if it looks like Assad is about to launch a chemical attack on his own people.
A senior US official says all the allies are now considering how to keep Syria from putting chemical warheads on its artillery or missiles.
But an airstrike to stop it, could cause havoc if residual chemicals escape.
What if Assad leaves? US officials say they have long been planing for 'the day after Assad" – such as training Jordanian troops to provide security – but for now they just hope Syrians troops will keep those chemical weapons under lock and key.

I hope they can end this without blowing anything of anybody up. lets just hope we can peacefully settle this one so we don't end up in another war.
This would be terrible if they launched the warheads. I hope everybody over there is going to be okay.
It is kind of scary to think of what would happen if everyone started using chemical warfare. It could spread to a lot of places that it isn't supposed to get to, and that could cause countries to get even more mad at each other.
I don't think it would be good if they launched the warheads. It would not help if they were destroyed. That is just what I think though.
this is very scary hopefully this does not end up happening because it would not be good if it did.
Launching chemicals weapons on your own people is not the answer. They should try and find a nicer to solve their problems.
The thought of something like this happening is extremely scary. Things would be so much better if countries could learn to talk with one another instead of always using violence.
I just hope that peace can be reached. I feel so bad for all those poor people over there.
I really hope they decide not to do this. Doing this would do nothing but cause more problems. We dont need another war problem. This has to stop.
O my gosh why don't the Syrian people just give up! Don't they ever get tiered of war and causing so much death an misery for no reason at all? I hope we can stop them before they release these deadly, and illegal war weapons.
