Serbia's authorities are investigating a cargo package bound for the U.S. containing two missiles with explosive warheads that were found on a passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia.
N1 television said the package with two guided armor-piercing missiles was discovered Saturday by a sniffer dog after an Air Serbia flight from Beirut landed at Belgrade airport.
The Lebanese army said the two missiles were used for training and they claimed they did not contain any explosives. They did not explain then how a bomb-sniffer dog was able to detect them.
The army said the missiles were being sent to the American company that produced them. It said the return was in accordance "with administrative legal measures after the training ended."
Serbian media said documents listed the final destination for the AGM-114 hell fire missiles as Portland, Oregon. The American-made projectiles can be fired from air, sea or ground platforms.
1- Do you think the Lebanese were telling the truth?
2- Do you think they had different plans for the Missiles? If so, what do you think they were?
3- If the Missiles didn't contain explosives, how do you think the dog could've smelled them?

I don't think they were telling the truth. They could have had different plans or maybe to ship some to another place. But like Jared said I don't know how the dog could smell out metal.
I don't think they are telling the truth because how would the dogs sniff out metal, I don't know if they had different plans or if the were just shipping them somewhere. I don't know how the dog would smell them, maybe their was an explosive residue.
I think that they could have been telling the truth. They were just in a box so its not like they were ready to be dropped or fired on some place. It could be a lie though but I would just ask for papers or proof to be sure.
I think that they were just returning these missiles and there was going to be no harm done.
The dog might have smelled some of the scent from precious explosives that might have been in them and just left the scent even there was none in them. Im not sure though how explosive smelling dogs are trained or what they are trained to smell. It could have just been the dogs instinct. Who knows.
I think the dogs are highly trained and are trained to find bombs/or pieces of bombs which is why they found this. These animals are super intelligent and it doesn't surprise me that they found this.

I think there is a possibility for them to have different plans for the missles. I hope their plan doesn't have anything to do with the United States, but weirder things have happened.
I am not for sure if they are lying or not. The more rational side of me is saying that they couldn't possibly be lying but the other half of me is coming up with conspiracy theories on why they are lying. It depends, I guess.
Lebanon is probably lying there have been other countries that have lied about things like this before. They probably did have different plans for the missles but who knows what they could be. I think that the dog smelled them because they was actual explosives in there.
