Due to recent advances in science and technology, Bill Gates believes that terrorist could be able to create a bio-weapon that could wipe out millions. These bio-weapons could include viruses such as the smallpox or the flu. If this weapon were to get released it could cause a pandemic, the virus would run rampant infected everyone. Gates has said this weapon could be created and released in the next 10-15 years.

I think that if this weapon were to be created it very well could be able to wipe out many people, especially 3rd world countries because they don't have the advanced technology and medicine that other do. I think the U.S. would be better off than others countries, we would most likely be able to control it more, but I'm sure it would still effect a lot of people in the country.

I believe the weapon could cause millions of deaths, or at least infect millions. The U.S would need to prepare millions of cures for the virus and they would need to inform the public.
Yes. A bio-weapon could spread a disease we have not face so our bodies wouldn't be able to fight it off that well.

I think it definitely has the potential to wipe out millions. I don't think anyone can really prepare for this type of thing. We can take precautions, but we can't every fully prepare.
While our world of ever-evolving science and technology is amazing, I think it could also harm us. In fact, Albert Einstein once said, "I fear the day that technology will surpass human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots." I feel like that quote speaks volumes to what our future is going to be like. With our constantly improving science and technology, I do believe that such a bio-weapon would be able to be created and wipe out millions. It really is a scary thought, but is definitely something that we need to keep in the back of our minds. If the United States stays aware of such weapons, I believe that we will be prepared to a certain extent, but synthesized viruses are extremely unpredictable.
We live in an era where science and technology are constantly evolving. A weapon being able to eliminate high populations of people is very probable, especially in the near future. Truthfully, it’s very difficult to be prepared for a pestilence. The United States does possess the technology to make cures for some illnesses, but not many. We also wouldn’t know where and how the bio-weapon would be used, leading to the disease spreading and potentially killing even more people.
I think that if this weapon is released that it could wipe out millions. I also think that it would affect 3rd world countries more because they don't have the technology like the rest of the world. I think that if it does affect the U.S we would be some what prepared because of the red cross and other organizations like that. I hope they are able to find out if this is true or not. If it is I hope that the U.S prepares themselves.
I think if a weapon of this sort were created it would definitely kill many people, both from those who are initially exposed to it and those who catch it from other people. I don't think the US is prepared for an epidemic like this right now, but in the future if the government takes the necessary precautions we could be prepared.
I agree, if the government takes precautions and has a set game plan, I believe we would be able to fend off the disease better. However, if we don't make certain precautions, the disease would really be able to wipe out millions.
Yes, for sure. If this weapon does as it says it is capable of, it would wipe out entire populations. Right now, probably not. But now that we know this weapon could exist, I think that we will take extra precautions from now on.
