In recent news a 1,000 pound tuna fish was caught by a man named Marc Towers, a fisher that lives in Ghana. Though it was an impressive catch it was not enough to beat the world record at 1,496 pounds.
The tuna will produce about 20,000 pieces of tuna; a buyer in japan has offered $32,000 for it. It took two hours to pull in and when they got it in it took a crane to lift it up.
I think that catching these giants should be illegal.

I dont think that this should be illegal. It produces a lot of tuna, and those who catch it get a large amount of money. I dont think many people are just going to go around trying to catch giant tuna.
WOW! thats a big fish! I would be proud to catch that. I wounder what he would do with all that money?
I dont necessarily agree. With this fish being on the threatened species list I don't think it's a good idea to keep the fish, but I dont think it should be illegal. It was just his luck by catching it. However it is very cool that he caught a fish that big!!!
I think that there is nothing wrong with selling this fish. Tuna can grow past this weight and they are a handsome paycheck just for one fish.
