Biden's six-step Covid Plan, Will it work?

On Semptember 9th, Joe Biden announced his new 6 step covid plan to try to end the pandemic. His first step is to vaccinate the unvaccinated with mandates for workers. Biden stated that all employers with mor than 100 emplyees are required to either get the vaccine or they will have to get a negative covid test weekly.  Next he wants to protect the vaccinated people through free booster shots. Joe Biden also said he wants to keep all schools open, biden promises to make up the salary of any teacher or administrator whose pay was withheld by a mask mandate or vaccine mandate. His 4th step is increased testing, The Defense Production Act will be used to accelerate the production of tests. It is also planned to send 25 million free tests to US health clinics. 5th step is Economic recovery. and Biden's last step is to improve care for those with covid-19 by increasing the availability of new medicines.

I am not sure how I feel about Joe Biden's plan to stop the virus mainly because of his second step to his plan. I feel like requiring employers to have their employees vaccinated is not right and is going to cause a lot of issues and a lot of unvaccinated employees may quit their job and be unemployed so they don't have to get the vaccine. I think others will take this requirement to federal court and battle it.  Also, I'm not sure it is legal for Joe Biden to require vaccinations in private companies.

Do you think employers with over 100 employees should require their emplyees to get vaccinated?

What would you do if you were one of the employees that was forced to get vaccinated?

  • Good job overall Cael! I do think your sdummary could have been a bit longer. I would also encourage you to number Biden's plan and separate them so it's easier for readers to see.

  • Even though I don't really support Joe Biden, I agree with this plan, but honestly I think his mindest's in the right place, but this plan sounds too good to be true.  Not everyone's going to want to become vaccinated, and "forcing", it upon workers honestly just takes our freedoms away. I don't think employers with more than 100 workers should have to be vaccinated, or get negative cov-id tests every week. We live in America, "the land of the free", so it honestly just sounds like taking our freedoms away. I despise this pandemic as much as Biden does, if not more, but forcing vaccines and covid tests on people aren't the way to solve it. Me, personally, am vaccinated. That was my choice. If someoe else doesn't agree with me, that's their choice not to get vaccinated. America needs to let everybody have their freedoms. If I was an employee who the vaccine was being forced upon, I wouldn't nessicarly like it, but getting two shots isn't going to be the worst thing I'll ever have to ednure. I think everybody came into the coronavrius pandemic with the wrong mindest, and it never shouldv'e been a political thing. Joe Biden and Kamala Hariss also came into presidency with thinking the United States was going to be more liberal based, but I think the conservatives finally pushing back, and more liberals becoming conservative is really a big deture to their plans.

  • I dont think anyone should be required to get the vaccine because its fairly new and we know none of the side effects, also you can still get covid even when vaccinated so if everyone was vaccinated then the virus would probably just mutate and the vaccine would be ineffective.

  • I think that Bidens plan is terible because no one should be forced to get the vaccine. I definetly think that companies should not requier their employes to get the vaccine. If I was one of the employes that was forced to get the vaccine I would quit and tell them that I quit because I do not want the vaccine.

  • I think that is should be your choice and only your choice. I think this could cause a lot of companys to lose workers because some people will not want to get the vacinne and work for a smaller company. If it was me I think i would get it because it wouldn't really affect me.

  • I think Biden's 6 step covid will work. If everybody and I mean EVERYBODY gets vaccinated, then there's a very low chance of you getting covid. And if you do happen to get it, there's no life threatening consequences or death involved. We should require everybody to get vaccinated, we'll save more lives that way. There's no microchips in vaccines, it's not gonna kill you to get vaccinated from not just covid, but for everything.

  • In my opinion it is a good idea from Biden to try to make more vaccinations but big businesses with more than 100 employees are usually private business so he may have trouble making businesses to get the vaccination to everyone, since it costs a price.

  • I think that Biben can't make a company with over 100 people mandate a vaccine because it's a private business and they can mandate it if they want. If I was forced to get the vaccine I just get it over with because even if it isn't a 100% guarentee it still is better than nothing. I also have already been vacinated and it makes you feel bad for about and then it goes away and you're completly fine.

    • I agree with you that  biden may be breaking some laws doing this.

  • if the vaccine really works and does the job, in my opinion, it is a good idea for employers with more than a hundred employees to have them vaccinated because that's a big number, and having one person with covid can affect others making them temporarily unavailable to work and that would not just the employer but everyone working in that place.
