Eddie Murphy has quite a bit ahead of him. His new movie Tower Heist is coming out next weekend, he is hosting the Oscars next February/March (whenever it is), and now he is getting a Beverly Hills Cop TV series. For the last decade or so he's been trying to get a fourth movie in about Axel Foley, the 80's icon that pushed him into the pop culture in a way no one had ever been before. But soon the series collapsed and got worse, and that made a fourth movie impossible. But now he's picked his feet back up with the Shrek movies and all this work now, so I think a return of Axel Foley is just what he needs. He didn't talk a whole lot about it, but he said the show would focus on Axel's son, maybe Axel, Jr. and that Axel, Sr. would be in charge of the Detroit police department. He said he would only be in a few episodes here and there, including the first one. No ideas yet on who the son on Foley will be, what network will pick it up, or when it will premire.
