Berserk Cat forces 911 Action

One insane cat named Lux attacked it's owner's babies leaving scratches on the child's forehead. The father then proceeded to kick the 22 pound feline in the rear. At which point the cat charged them and forced them into a bedroom of their home. The family lives in Porland, Oregon and were forced to call 911. They will be sending the cat to a vet for therapy, but will not let it go even with its past of violence.

What do you think caused this outburst of anger from the cat?

Would you keep the cat after an episode like that?

  • That's a big cat, maybe the cat attacked the babies because they were getting more attention than it

  • I think that maybe the cat was stressed out about something or maybe sensed something that wasn't right. I would keep the cat after that, but away from the baby. I would still like to keep the cat because it's sad if you have to put the animal down.

  • Maybe its the cats age. I don't think I would keep it, I mean it hurt your child

  • Ha I saw this story on the news. I'm surprised that they didn't do something about it though.

  • I would not keep the cat. I don't really like cats now, because of this reason. They could just attack at anytime and you never know with cats. I would get rid of this cat ASAP.

  • This is really weird because a cat should not have this kind of action, it might have been exposed to actions like this before and that would be why it had this act of violence. A cat should not make a family sit behind locked doors the cat should be put down.

  • I think that I would get rid of the cat if it was causing harm to my family members. I don't know what could have triggered the episode.

  • The father should be a father and take care of the cat himself, not have to call 911. It's pathetic.

  • You have a great point, and yes that is a fat cat, but they definitely could have handled the situation better.
