Being Aware Of Your Surroundings Saves A man In Detroit

An armed citizen in Detroit walked out to his car one morning and saw that his cars windows were all fogged up. He knew that something wasn't right and tried to look into one of the windows and saw that a man was hiding under a blanket in his back seat. He then pulled out his weapon and ordered the man to get out of the car and lay on the ground until the cops got there. The cops ran a back ground check and saw that the man had killed his wife and was hiding in the wrong citizens car.

Do you believe that this man had the right to use his weapon at this time and did it responsibly?
I believe that he did everything right and I wouldn't have done anything differently

If you were in this situation what would you do?
I believe that he should have waited a little longer and and called the cops sooner and waited for the cops to get there and let them handle everything.

  • I think he had every right to pull his gone on him because the man didn't know what was going to happen. He didn't know why he was there because he could have been there to hurt the man. He also used it responsibly by not shooting him and waiting for the police to come. If I were in this situation I would probably get away from the car and call the police and wait for them to come.

  • i belive so due to the fact that it was his car and the other guy wasnt supossed to be there i would first call the cops and then order the man to get out of the car and stay down basically what this guy did

  • I believe he did the right thing and if he has a concealed carry, then that was the time to use it. I would have probably called someone because i wouldn't know what to do but if i had my concealed carry I would have used it.

  • I believe the man was rightfully upholding his 2nd amentment rights when he threatened deadly froce on the man hiding in his car. Detroit has one of the highest crime rates in the United States, so it is good to have a means to defend yourself. I think if I was in this situation I would have immediately pulled out my weapon even if I didn't plan to use it.

  • I would do the same thing that guy did. That would be so scary to see someone in your car especially once they found out that he killed his wife. I would be scared for my life and you never know if that guy had a weapon either. I think the weapon was the right choice because without it, the guy would've gotten away.
