No, unfortunately, we haven't quite cracked the code on Jurassic Park, but this tiny dinosaur is as rare as they get. The rare baby tyrannosaurus rex listed on eBay for just under 3 million dollars is still a fossil, but a very rare one at that. In fact, this tiny T-Rex tot is thought to be the only fossil of its kind in the world. The fossil is a total of 15 feet long with a 21-inch skull, complete with its long, razor-sharp teeth. The fossil is so rare because the T-Rex tends to grow fast so that it might be able to hunt and kill prey to survive.
With the dinosaur being so rare and high priced, however, this causes a lot of anger from scientists wishing to examine the fossil. A juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex could help broaden our understanding of the past, and with this fossil being so rare, this could be scientists only chance to be able to examine the species. With the price so high, however, many scientists worry that the fossil will end up in someones private collection, hidden away from the world.
Hopefully, the scientist's anger towards the listing doesn't cause them to do anything too... Jurassic...

Yeah, Okay, I'll leave now...

Do you think the fossil should be allowed to be bought into a private collection or should it be open to the world to view?
The fossil should not be stored away into a private collection to gather dust in some rich guys basement. Scientists can find more use out of the valuable fossils rather than some Mr. Moneybags who will use the head as a desktop ornament.
Do you believe scientists are right to be upset by the listing or should they quit moping and pay up?
Scientists are right to be upset with this expensive listing. Yes, the fossil is extraordinarily rare and worth a pretty penny, but the way fossil hunter is flaunting the fossil for anyone to buy at such a large price makes it appear he is using its rarity to his advantage. He doesn't seem to care who gets the fossil, as long as he soaks up as much money as possible. It is unfair that scientists that could make a difference with the fossil are missing out on the opportunity because it is so expensive.

Great job! One of the best summaries I've seen! Great writing!
I believe that these fossils and any ancient things like this needs to be put into a museum or somthing like that. I think that they could pay up a little, but they should not have to pay too much for something that should be in a museum.
I agree. These fossils are something that anyone and everyone should view, not hidden away in some private collection. The best case scenario would be that these fossils could be placed in a museum, but unfortunately no museum could ever afford a fossil so pricey.
I think that it should be open to the world to see so everyone can learn from it. Scientists should be able to see the fossil.
I Think the scientist should buy the fossil for themselves and study it that way.
I think the fossil should be with the scientists being able to be displayed for informational use and a learning experience for scientists back to that time period. There is way more value to the fossil than the fossil hunter believes there is, as he is in a way disrespecting science. I believe scientists should be upset by having to pay the hefty price, as it should be used for science and not entertainment.
I totally agree. It's pretty sad that this fossil hunter is just throwing this fossil to the highest bidder instead of thinking about how it could help the science world. I hope the fossil ends up in a museum or somewhere where they can be examined for research purposes.
I think it definetly needs to be given to scientist so that they can learn more and inform the public about their findings. No offence to anyone, but the average person will not be able to figure out the things they have figured out. I think they should be upset, I also think they should pay something just not 3 million dollars! It wasn't their finding so they don't need to get it for free.
I think the fossil should stay in a science place or a museum where everyone can go in and see it because it's not like the guy that bought it is gonna do anything with it other than maybe sell it. I think scientists have the right to be mad because they can research the fossil instead of some guy that is just gonna hold onto it or sell it for more money.
I think that decision is up to the people who end up buying the fossil. Yes if scientists got a hold onto the fossil it could greatly benifit the knowledge of what Earth was once like. If I was a rich person and had 3 million to spend on a fossil i would definetly do it. The fossil would be stored in the dust for awhile in proper conditions but i would eventually get rid of it because it will jurasicly increase in value over the years.
I think the scientists are in the wrong for complaining about the price and how the seller is trying to sell it. I understand its expensive but just think of the reasearch and data. I think with that scientists will easily make their money back and possibly profit if they go in the direction.
I don't know if your pun was intended, but I saw what you did there with the "jurasicly increase in value". I tip my hat to you, you have leveled up in your dad joke game. I can see your point that the fossil price should be up to the buyers. I think it is unjust, but the world is not fair I suppose.
