In recent news dew to a new law passed in Australia that states that kids in school are not allowed to blow out the candles on their Birthday cakes. The law was passed because of the risk of spreading germs. The parents are mad because it takes the fun out of being a kid.
I think that it would be no fun and would rebel.

this may be the dumbest law I have ever heard of. You spread more germs from coughing than blowing out candles. If the school wants to eliminate germs they need to just not have school.
I think that it is okay if you blow out candles in your own home. I don't know why they made this crazy law.
It's probably smart to not blow your germs all over a cake. This definaltly would take the fun out of being a kid and I would foresure still do it. Why do they celebrate birthday's in school? I'm sure bringing cake would be fine, just not blow out candles infront of the class.
This is really unfair! I don't know why they would make that illegal. It takes a lot of fun out of being a kid, and it actually doesn't even matter what your age is. Everyone blows out candles on their birthdays!
so what if they cant blow out the candles on their cakes at school it doesnt say anything about it being outlawed at their homes. I really dont even see why they where having candles on their cakes at school and it doesnt take the fun out of being a kid because they can still blow them out at there houses. it really doesnt seem like that big of a deal because they can still blow the candles out on their cakes at home.
I think that that is the funniest thing I have heard in the last days. The kids should have candles and all kinds for the b-days, and the germs are always present, no matter what we are doing.
This is just a like ridiculous! Don'tcha think? But for real, this might be the dumbest law I have ever heard of in my life. Thank gosh the US doesn't have this law.
This is only at school though. While that does sound really germaphobic, if they really think it'll help more power to them. Besides celebrating b-days at school was always really lame anyway.
That is stupid even if you could spred germs, but at least you could still blow out your candles at home for celebrating.
Sounds like the government is getting too involved. I am so glad that my tax dollars are going to good use.
