B-1 Bombers Pulled from ISIS Fight

The B-1 bombers are one of the biggest and most dependable aircrafts in the fight against ISIS. These planes are going to be taken out of commission for the time being. They have been sent back to the United States so they can have some upgrades to their cockpits. The B-1 has been praised for the amount of weaponry that it can carry, the accuracy and their reliability. They believe they will be back.

Questions:

1. How do you think the withdrawal of the B-1 Bombers will affect the fight against ISIS?

2. If you had the choice, would you remove the B-1 bombers from the fight for repairs or would you keep them in the Mideast to fight against ISIS? If so, why or why not?

My opinion: I think that taking out the bombers could affect the fight against ISIS greatly. These planes are very important and are used a lot. There might be a time in the fight where they need to use these planes but they are not available at the moment so it  could cause a loss in progress and could lead to a problem.

If I had a choice, I would probably not remove the bombers from fighting unless it was a big thing that needed repaired. These plains are very useful and are needed in the fight so if they take them out, it could lead to a loss of progress.

  • Well done Kaleb!

  • I think that it could definetely slow down the fight against ISIS because if they need them and the planes are not there thats not going to be very fun. I think if it was possible I would only send bac some of the planes and then when they got repaired they could be sent back out and the ones that still need repairing go in for the repairing.

    • You made some very good points. Taking them out could slow the fight against ISIS. I totally agree with you on sending only part back. It would be a great idea. The planes would get repaired and you would still have some planes available in case you need them. That was a very good point. I totally agree.

  • it could hurt the fight against isis but i would take them to get repairs so no accidents occur.

    • I can see your point. Taking them out could make us weaker and ISIS might be able to get stronger. I can see why you would take them out but it seems like nothing is major enough that it would cause a big accident.

  • I think the difference will be very big with the B-1 Bombers not being in the fight. I also think the military can handle the fight without them. I think that they should keep them in the fight just for good measure.

    • I can agree with you. Taking these planes out could make a big difference but I also think that our military can probably handle the problems without the B-1 Bombers for a while. I also think that it wouldn't hurt to keep them in fighting.

  • I think they will make a difference by not being in the fight, however i don't think it will cause our military any problems. They should keep them in the fight.

    • Interesting points. Our military could probably handle the fight without these planes for awhile but it doesn't seem like these repairs are that necessary so why not just keep them in the fight.

  • Well if i had the choice to take the bombers out i wouldn't. All of the planes are useful and will probably be needed in the fight.
