Audi Breakthrough

Researchers at Audi have figured out a way to combine air and water to make fuel for cars. This will revolutionize the way that we look at cars. "The process uses carbon dioxide, the most common greenhouse gas, which can be captured directly from air. Carbon dioxide is created largely by burning fossil fuels and contributes to global warming. Now Sunfire said it can recycle the gas to make a more efficient, carbon-neutral fuel."- Audi commented.

Do you think that this will catch on?

What way do you think that this will effect the auto industry?

Do you think that people will want to start driving cars with this modification?

  • Good job!

  • I think this could be very good for the auto industry and for the planet. I think people would as it would create a better future for the earth.

  • Yes if they get it around to different companies. I would think that they new engines would make new car prices go way up.

  • There is know way this will ever catch on and the reason for that is the major gas distributors are always gonna buy these company's out so they don't release these new products. I'll  be interesting to see were we are in 50 years

  • In my opinion, this will probably turn out to be like the smart cars. It will catch on and become a popular idea, but people will want to continue to drive what they are used to. I believe these cars will be very expensive so many people will see it as an obstacle to get one. Also, many people already have cars that they can rely on and wont want to trade them in or sell them for something that they don't really know too much about. I think people will want to be driving cars like this and want everyone to start making the switch, but I don't think that the action will be taken to actually switch the use of gas powered cars to this new type of car.

  • I think this will catch on, but I think that researchers will come up with new conservative way to fuel cars. If they are going to use this new idea, I hope it doesn't harm our environment or lead to other stuff harming our environment.

    • The only bad aspect I can see coming from this is that we have a limited amount of water, and this could possibly be a waste of space because of this fact.

  • I believe that this will definitely catch on! We are already having huge scares on greenhouse gases and how it is effecting our environment! I really hope that all cars will develop or catch onto this trend because this is the future of our car industry.

  • I think that these cars will more than like cost a fortune. I'm not sure if it will catch on or not because people thought that electric cars would catch on, and that hasn't come very far yet. This may become popular though.

    • There's a possibility that people with catch on to this faster than the electric cars, and that we'd be able to purchase these kind of cars.
