Over the past few weeks since Mueller's probe on the Trump Administration came in, Attorney General Barr has been under fire for "lying under oath", which has yet to be proven. He himself believes that the probe proved there was "no collusion", which is true, but democrat party members were quick to fire back in the fact that everything had not been show at that point. Today, Barr plans on investigating what really happened with the probe, as he believes the explanations for its creation have been inadequate.  He said "its part of the usual political circus thats being played out" Barr stresses the importance to "find out what exactly the government was doing during that period." The period in question would be during the later half of the 2016 Election Campaign, and in 2017 during Trump's inauguration.

Do you believe that Barr has and good reason to go through with this investigation? Why/Why not?

Given that there has already been an investigation on the Trump Administration itself, I believe that Barr has every reason to go through with this.

Do you believe that Barr lied under oath? If So, Why do you think he did?

I would really doubt that the lied under oath, he would have nothing to gain, and with the many people who fact check anything that is said by a government official.

  •  I think Barr has good reasons to go through with another investigation. If he feels there is more to investigate then he should. It is illegal to lie under oath and he knows that so I do not think that he would of lied under oath.

  • I don't see why Barr wouldn't be able to go through with this investigation especially because of the previous investigations with trump. I personally do not think he would lie just because he would have no reason to.

  • I agree with you that Barr has every reason to follow through with further investigation. He has already started the investigation, but hasn't gone through and investigated everything that needs to be. I don't think it would hurt to continue.

  • I agree with you that he did not lie under oath. He would be smarter than to do that. I don't think there would be any gain of him lying under oath, and he understands that if he were to lie under oath, he would lose everything.

  • I think that since there has already been been an investigation on the trump administration that barr has many reasons for why he should go through and needs to go through with this procedure. I doubt he lied under oath since it would be a very large risk to take and that the punishments are severe and he wouldnt risk it

  • I don't think he lied because he would not want to risk being caught. If charged he could lose his job and his reputation for the rest of his life. Lying could be very bad I don't think he would because he could lose everything.

  • There has already been investigation on the Trump Administration so I think Barr could go to through with this. I don't necessarily think that he should do it but he easily could.

  • I think Barr has excellent reasons to go through with the investigation.  Millions of dollars have been spent to try to prove that innocent people were guilty.  Their names were cleared but it was hard  on them and their families.  They deserve to do the same to the people who tried to ruin them.

  • I don't think that Barr lied under oath because as a government official he would not want to risk the consequences of being caught. If charged with perjury, he could risk his future politcal career, as well as his reputation for the rest of his life.

    • I agree with you on this. I don't think that Barr would risk everything over a lie to cover up Trump's scandals. Perhaps he just beat around the bush and didn't come out with the full truth but I don't think he is dumb enough to lie under oath.
