Just a day after seeing Santa Clause at the mall young Christopher Milke asked his mother if he could go again. So that was when this whole murder plot began. The plan was for Christopher to go to the mall with Debra Milke's (his mom) roommate James Styers. On the way to the mall Styers picked up a friend and instead of driving to the mall drove to a secluded ravine. While there Styers shot Christopher in the head 3 times. Now you might be wondering how does this affect his mom. Well apparently she had planed for this shooting to happen and non of this came out until she was being questioned at her roommates trail where he was charged with first degree murder and was sentenced to death. After many hours of questioning Milke was also charged. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to a murder and plotting the death of her child. Milke was put on death row in prison as her consequence.
Now here we are 22 years later after she was convicted. So now they people just realized that she did not get a fair trail after 22 years in prison. According to the judge she was question unfairly and there really was no proof of her murdering her son. So know she is being released from prison until March 2014 when she will be sentenced again to see if she really had anything to do with her sons murder. What are your guy's opinion on this whole story? Also what do you thing will be the turn out in March do you think she will be freed for life or back in jail for life?

It is really hard to tell what really happened. If she did plot her sons death she should be in prison, but if she was tried unfairly she should get a retrial.
That is scary why would you purposely plan for your son's death I couldn't imagine trying to kill my son I would love them to much so it makes me wander what was wrong with her and what was going through her mind at the time.
How come after 22 years they are finally looking it over again? If they were going to do this why wouldn't they have done it earlier.
Well hopefully she was get sent back to prison. I think that she deserves prison for sure. There is no reason to kill a child. If you don't want to care for the kid there are adoption and foster programs that you can send the kid to because your to irresponsible to care for a kid
After 22 years it would be pretty hard to get all the evidence back out and find lawyers that would want to take a 22 year old case. Other than her admitting she conspired in the murder it would be hard to charge her with anything.
I can't believe it has taken 22 years for them to decide the trial was unfair. I obviously do not know if she is guilty or not but, if she is I wonder if the 22 years she has already served will come into account if she is charged again? I mean if she is sentenced to prison for a number of years will they knock off 22 of them because she has already been in jail?
I agree that it will be very difficult to prove whether she did or didn't help plot the murder of her child after 22 years. My question is, why in the first place would the mother want to kill her own child? I can't even imagine it.
I think it was smart of them to give her another trial, since the first one wasn't. Especially if she really didn't plan the murder. I think she will be freed.
This is ridiculous! They waited that long to decide that she was treated unfairly. The case is going to be really scattered and people are going to have to remember all what happened 22 years ago!
It will be interesting to find out what happens.
