These new innovative foldable phones, in particular, have been getting a lot of positive feedback from many people across the globe. This would be the first genuinly new design for mobile phone in over ten years. The bendable screens allow for access to much larger screens that have been in demand for what seems like forever, but in a form that can still fit in your pocket; which makes it much more efficient and convenient for the everyday person. They are like a combination of a small tablet and smartphone, all in one single device. In addition, it would have the 5G networks that are coming very soon in the next year or so. Nearly all the foldable phones at the show this year were powered by Qualcomm’s X50 5G modems. In the U.S., all the major carriers like Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T have announced that they plan to bring 5G support to certain cities in 2019, it is expected to expand to other parts of the country by 2020. - Do you think these new foldable phones will potentially take the place of Iphones and various other smartphones ?
I think that it will take some time for people to get used to them, but eventually I think they will replace the smartphones we are used to having.
- How do you feel about this new smartphone design?
I don't really know how I feel about it. I'm not really sure if I'd enjoy it very much.

I dont really like the new design that much Im sure that a bunch of problems would occur with the new fold also. I say we just stay with how phones are now and that they focus on the real problems of the phones.
I agree, it is probably a good idea if we keep the way iphones look and just fix and upgrade some new features to keep up with the new technology upgrade. However, change the look of them completely is pointless.
I highly doubt foldable phone will take over just because we pretty much used to have foldable phones or flip phones and now nobody has those or uses those anymore so I highly doubt it.
I agree with you, but it might happen because i mean if you look at air pods, and now you can by wires for them? SO honestly you never know i think if this did happen people would buy it, but me personally i would not.
I agree with both of you. We are used to having the smartphones we have and new designs might not come easy to people to get used to. That is not saying that they won't be successful, but I feel like people will want to stick with what they have.
I think they will take place of the newer phones today. That just how it goes, we work our way up the latter getting better and better and better until were cyborgs. I feel like they will either be a rip off and break easily or they will be an absolute hit and everyone is going to want/get them.
If they do end up taking the place of the smartphones we have today it definately won't be for a long while. There is also the possibility that people end up hating the phone and it having a lot of downfalls.
I disagree with you i defiently dont think they will take over. I think yes there is always a possibility but i think we have already had something to similar. But its just like the air pods and there cords now.
Eventually the foldable phones would become more popular but for now I think people might think of them as a bit ridiculous. I don't really have an opinion on the new phone design but I probably wouldn't buy one. The phrase foldable phone reminds me of the old flip phones even though they aren't the same concept.
