Kyushu, a city in Japan has created a ‘aquarium on ice’. This aquarium has begun to be a public outburst. People have begun to say how it is in humane because they are using real fish under the ice. This aquarium has more than 5,000 fish as well as other sea life such as crab and shellfish.They have even taken the liberty of putting giant pictures of large sea life under the ice. They claim that the reason they have done this was to give a different viewpoint on the learning of sea life while being able to ice skate.
People that have gone here have said that they were disgusted by it because of the amount of dead sea life that you are on. What they didn't know was all of the creatures were already dead and nothing was killed by the ice or the workers of it.
Since this went public the company has sent out an announcement saying that they will be taking all of the sea life out of the ice and will be using them as fertilizer.
Questions:
Would you go to this attraction if it was still open?
Do you think that this is right for them to do to these creatures?
My opinion: I would like to at least see what this is about. I'm not sure if I would be more grossed out or intrigued by this and i'm still not sure after reading about it. I don't think that it's right for anyone to do this to creatures like these, there aren't many sea creatures and killing them off will just make their situation worse.

Personally i would not go because this is extremely sad. I don't think I could look at dead animals, to sad! I feel like this is inhuman and i understand that they are trying to show 2 sides to every story but maybe make a moving video. Not a live show of dead animals.
No, even though it would be unique, I don't really enjoy the idea of ice skating over dead sea life. I don't really know what type of condition these fish were in in when they were killed. If the fish were in perfect health, I would think it was a waste of fish, especially since they are just taking the fish out.
I think as long as they were already dead it should be alright. I don't honestly think its wrong to do it. Its not wrong if they are already dead but I can see how other people see differently.

I think it would be really cool to have a bunch of fish under me while I walk around. I would totally got to the attraction if it was still open.

I don't think that it is wrong to do it, it's not hurting the fish.
I think that its not right to do to the fish because of the sheer quanity of them. Although I do agree that since there already dead they arent hurt.
