Animal poaching is a serious problem, and for elephants especially. Animal poaching is when animals are hunted and killed illegally. Poaching happens most of the time when they have something of value. People usually kill elephants for their valuable Ivory. Animal poaching also greatly affects rhinos, tigers, bears, and bighorn sheep.
Animal poaching has significantly dropped the numbers of animals in wildlife in the past decades. Elephants are now going extinct due to the severe animal poaching in Africa. Not only does this affect elephant numbers but other wildlife as well. People who protect the wildlife will also get killed by poachers in the process. Almost 200 people have been killed, by animal poachers, in the last two decades.
There are ways people can help stop these vicious attacks. Where poaching occurs there are penalties in place. Such as; prison or fines. There are many non-profit organizations to help protect wildlife. The organizations don’t only protect wildlife, but they help poachers find a different way to make money. People also are trying to make the demand for these valuable products go down. I think animal poaching is awful for wildlife and our planet, and people should do more to help the elephants.

I think poaching is wrong. I think if you are going to hunt you should follow all the rules and follow the limits. I can't save the elephants but I can help do the right thing here when I hunt.
Yes I know that animal poaching is when people kill animals for their value. I think it is something really bad especially when you kill so much an specie that now is in danger of extinction. I think this activity continues because there are still people who buy this stuff. I will make a new law that gives many years of prision to the people who do animal poaching and also to the people that buy this stuff because they are just promoting these activities.
I think animal poaching is very wrong. People need to stop killing elephants so often just for jewelry. They just need to wait til an elephant naturally dies or needs to die due to medical issues. Elephants are going to go extinct soon if they don't stop.
I know that animal poaching is very wrong and inhumane. It also has picked up more popularity in more current years from people trying to make money. I think people should get in a lot of trouble for what their doing and find other (legal) jobs to make money and not poach animals for their own gain.
I understand the significance of animal poaching is in fact, extreme. It saddens me that animals are being killed for a select aspect of themselves. It's just like when you hunt, it's wrong to take just the antlers from a deer -- you should take the entire animal and try and use it in as many ways as you can.
The first question for me is a yes and no. I feel poaching is definately wrong for many reasons. They do it for no reason sometimes and I feel there needs to be stricter laws for it. I should also have bigger consenquences because the animals should be treated better. I would also probably donate to a well managed donation.

I knew that animal poaching was a big issue but I didn't know that elephants were one of the main ones in danger. That is really sad especially since elephants are really cool animals. I think it is wrong to do it mostly because of the waste that comes from it. Poachers only use parts of animals and so many animals are being killed for just their tusks which is really harmful.
